New Delhi, August 16, 2025: A significant recruitment notification has been released by the Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) for the year 2025. This notice, which was made available on the official website, licindia.in, marks the beginning of a major hiring initiative aimed at filling 841 vacancies for the posts of Assistant Engineers (AE) and Assistant Administrative Officers (AAO). The registration process for interested candidates has been started today, August 16, 2025.

The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 841 positions, which are distributed across different roles. Of the total, 81 posts have been announced for Assistant Engineers, while the remaining 760 are designated for Assistant Administrative Officers. The AAO vacancies are further categorized into Generalist and various Specialist streams, with 350 posts being for AAO (Generalist) and 410 for AAO (Specialist). The specialist roles include fields such as Company Secretary, Chartered Accountants, Actuarial, Legal, and Insurance.

Online applications are being accepted from eligible Indian citizens, and the application window has been opened from today, August 16, 2025. The deadline for submitting applications and paying the requisite fees has been set as September 8, 2025. Prospective candidates are advised to complete their registration well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute technical issues.

Detailed eligibility criteria have been specified in the official notification. Candidates for the AAO (Generalist) position are required to hold a bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized Indian university. For the AE and AAO (Specialist) roles, specific educational qualifications and, in some cases, relevant work experience are mandated, as outlined in the detailed notification available on the LIC website. The age limit for most positions is between 21 and 30 years as of August 1, 2025, although relaxations are provided for certain reserved categories.

The selection process for the AAO and AE posts will be carried out through a three-tiered procedure. This includes a Preliminary Examination, followed by a Main Examination, and an Interview. A pre-recruitment medical examination will also be conducted for the final selected candidates. The Preliminary Examination, which is of a qualifying nature, is tentatively scheduled to be held on October 3, 2025. The Main Examination is planned for November 8, 2025.

The application fee-cum-intimations charges have been set at Rs. 700 plus GST and transaction charges for General and OBC category candidates. A reduced fee of Rs. 85 plus GST and transaction charges is applicable for candidates belonging to the SC/ST/PwBD categories. It has been made clear that the payment of fees is to be made online and will not be refunded under any circumstances.

Aspirants are being urged to carefully review the official recruitment notifications available on the careers section of the LIC website before proceeding with their applications.
