Bollywood superstar Salman Khan made a rare and spectacular return to the runway, turning showstopper for his long-time friend and ace designer Vikram Phadnis, who was celebrating a landmark 35 years in the fashion and cinema industry. The event, held in Mumbai, was a grand showcase of Phadnis’ new collection, ‘Ananta’ (meaning endless), and was themed around ‘Vintage India.’

The actor, whose public appearances on the ramp have become increasingly infrequent over the years, captivated the audience with his signature charisma and poise. Salman donned an exquisite black ensemble that perfectly fused traditional Indian aesthetics with modern elegance. His outfit featured a classic black kurta-pyjama, layered with a long, sherwani-style silk jacket.

The jacket was the highlight, intricately adorned with detailed floral embroidery in luxurious gold and maroon tones across the shoulders, chest, and sleeves. The subtle shimmer of the hand-woven motifs against the black silk added a regal, opulent flair, reflecting Phadnis’ hallmark of grand yet sophisticated design. Completing the look with a neatly groomed moustache, slicked-back hair, and black dress shoes, the actor exuded a commanding and effortlessly stylish aura.

The star’s walk was met with thunderous applause and cheers, proving his enduring magnetic appeal. Following his ramp walk, Salman was seen sharing warm moments with close industry friends, including actors Sushmita Sen, Bipasha Basu, and Ameesha Patel, adding a touch of nostalgic reunion to the star-studded evening.

Speaking about his association with the designer, Salman expressed his delight, stating, “I’ve known Vikram for years, he’s been a part of many of my films, and so many memories. Watching him complete 35 years and being part of this celebration feels truly special.”

Vikram Phadnis reciprocated the sentiment, calling the collaboration for his milestone show “even more special.” “Ananta… is my way of honouring every chapter, every collaboration, and the spirit of creativity that never ends,” the designer added.

The event, which saw an impressive turnout of Bollywood celebrities, was not just a fashion show but a tribute to an enduring legacy of craftsmanship and friendship, fittingly capped off by Salman Khan’s memorable return to the catwalk.
