New Delhi, November 25, 2025: The release of The Family Man 3 has once again proven that the celebrated spy thriller series knows how to spark a national conversation. While the season, starring Manoj Bajpayee, received widespread acclaim for its gripping plot and intense performances, its final moments—a dramatic cliffhanger—have drawn a notably mixed response from viewers.

Amidst the fan debate, actor Vedant Sinha, who portrays Srikant Tiwari’ son, Atharv, in the show, has stepped forward to staunchly defend the polarizing conclusion.

The Audience Reaction: A Tale of Two Halves

The third season, which saw Srikant Tiwari face new formidable adversaries in the form of Jaideep Ahlawat’s Rukma and Nimrat Kaur’s Meera, pushed both his professional and personal life to the brink. The final episode left audiences hanging with major questions: Srikant’s fate after a brutal confrontation and car crash remains unresolved, and the emotional arc of his marriage with Suchitra is left dangling.

Social media has been flooded with reactions. Many viewers praised the new antagonists and the surprise cameo by Vijay Sethupathi, acknowledging the series’ ability to blend high-stakes action with relatable family chaos. However, a significant segment of the audience expressed disappointment, calling the ending “unfinished,” “rushed,” and a “poor strategy” to extend the conclusion for the next season. The core complaint centered on the lack of resolution, a departure from the more contained endings of the first two seasons.

Vedant Sinha’s Stance: Building Suspense is Crucial

In an exclusive interview, 17-year-old Vedant Sinha, who has essentially grown up on the sets of the series, acknowledged the viewers’ frustration.

“I know that it’s a cliffhanger and a lot of people have been teasing me saying, ‘After four years, you bring up a cliffhanger; what are you doing?'” he shared.

However, the young actor was quick to offer a defense rooted in the art of long-form storytelling. He emphasized the necessity of leaving major threads unresolved to maintain engagement.

The audience needs to understand that in order to keep the story and suspense going while keeping the audience hooked, this is really important,” Sinha stated. “People will have to trust us because we have ended Season 1 on a cliffhanger, and Season 2 was a banger. Just like that, you have Season 3 on a cliffhanger, and Season 4 is going to be amazing.”

His comment highlights the creators’ intention: the cliffhanger is not an oversight but a deliberate, strategic move to ensure maximum excitement for the highly anticipated fourth installment.

What Lies Ahead?

The actor’s confidence is backed by the show’s lead, Manoj Bajpayee, who has already confirmed on social media that all the unanswered questions will find their resolution in Season 4.

Sinha also provided a small update on the next season, confirming that he has not yet received a call for the shoot but knows it is currently in the writing process. His commitment to the franchise is clear: “The Family Man 4 wouldn’t happen without me; I’m here all the time. This is the project I’ve dedicated seven years to, and it feels like family.”

Ultimately, the debate over the ending underscores the massive anticipation surrounding Srikant Tiwari’s world. By leaving his fate, his family’s future, and the continuing rivalry with Rukma unresolved, the creators have ensured that the wait for The Family Man 4 will be nothing short of agonizing for fans, exactly as Vedant Sinha believes it should be.
