New Delhi, November 25, 2025: Former Miss India and Bollywood actress Celina Jaitly has taken a major legal step by filing a complaint of domestic violence against her estranged husband, Austrian hotelier Peter Haag, in a Mumbai court. The case, filed under the Protection of Women from Domestic Violence Act, details serious allegations of abuse and seeks a substantial ₹50 crore (approximately $6 million USD) in damages, along with monthly maintenance and compensation for loss of income and property.
The actress, known for films like No Entry and Golmaal Returns, has made chilling claims in her plea, painting a picture of a marriage marred by continuous abuse and control.
Celina Jaitly, a mother of three boys, has alleged that she was subjected to emotional, physical, sexual, and financial abuse at the hands of her husband. Her legal application describes Peter Haag as a “narcissistic, self-absorbed individual” with a short temper and “alcoholic tendencies,” claiming his behaviour led to a gradual breakdown of her self-esteem.
Beyond the significant compensation amount of ₹50 crore, Celina is also seeking ₹10 lakh per month as maintenance for herself and her three sons. Crucially, the plea also addresses her concerns about her children, who are currently in their father’s custody in Austria.
Celina has stated that Peter Haag has “completely blocked her access” to the children. She is now seeking a court order to ensure she has “unhindered virtual and telephonic access” to them.
The domestic violence complaint was presented before the Judicial Magistrate First Class in Andheri, Mumbai, on November 25, 2025. Following an initial review of the detailed application, the magistrate verified the complaint and issued a formal notice to Peter Haag. As he is based in Austria, he will be required to respond to the notice as part of the legal proceedings.
The next hearing in the case has been scheduled for December 12.
This legal battle comes at a difficult time for Celina, who was recently in the news for a separate legal plea in the Delhi High Court concerning the detention of her brother in the UAE. Her latest move marks a bold fight for her dignity, financial rights, and access to her children, bringing an important conversation about domestic abuse, manipulation, and control within high-profile marriages back into the spotlight.
