New Delhi, December 27, 2025: A wave of concern and disciplinary action has been triggered at the Government Polytechnic College in Malb village, Nuh, after a viral video surfaced this December 2025. In the high-energy reel, titled “Mewati Future Engineer,” a group of students was observed engaging in what appeared to be a violent rampage inside the college workshop. The students were seen throwing chairs across the room and using iron hammers to smash furniture to the tune of popular Mewati songs, leading to a massive outcry on social media regarding the lack of administrative oversight.

Staged Vandalism for Digital Views

The footage, which was widely shared across platforms like X and Instagram, has been clarified by the college administration as a “staged” event for digital content. It was noted by Principal Raheesh that the students had secretly entered the workshop’s scrap area to film the reel using condemned and unusable items. While the furniture seen being destroyed was already worn out and marked for disposal, the act has been described by authorities as a “highly reprehensible” display that damages the institution’s reputation for the sake of social media views.

Administrative Response and Disciplinary Action

The incident has prompted an immediate investigation by both the college administration and the local police. It was noted with surprise by netizens that no staff members were observed intervening during the noisy filming of the video. In response, the college principal has stated that all students involved in the “fake” vandalism are currently being identified. Disciplinary action is being initiated against the group for trespassing into the scrapyard and for misusing the college’s name and premises to create “dramatic” and misleading content.

Police Inquiry into Campus Conduct

The Nuh Police have also been observed taking cognizance of the viral clip to ensure that no functional government property was harmed during the shoot. A police spokesperson, Krishan Kumar, confirmed that the administration had clarified the “scrap” nature of the items destroyed. However, the incident is being viewed as a serious lapse in campus discipline. The students are reportedly being questioned to prevent the recurrence of such “stunts” that project a lawless image of educational institutions in the region.

The Rising Trend of Disruptive Reels

As the year 2025 draws to a close, this event has highlighted a growing and problematic trend of students performing disruptive acts to gain viral fame. It is being argued by educators that the quest for “likes” is increasingly leading to behaviors that border on criminality and academic misconduct. The Nuh Polytechnic incident remains a stark reminder that while the furniture might have been scrap, the impact on the institution’s decorum and the students’ futures is far more significant.
