New Delhi, january 16, 2026: Following the historic, record-shattering success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which amassed over ₹1,800 crore globally, Allu Arjun is officially moving from being a regional superstar to a pan-Indian phenomenon. As of January 2026, the “Icon Star” has lined up a series of high-octane projects that promise to redefine Indian cinema.
Currently, Allu Arjun is deep into the production of his 22nd film, directed by the blockbuster filmmaker Atlee. Fresh off the success of Jawan, Atlee is reportedly crafting a massive sci-fi adventure with a staggering budget estimated between ₹700–800 crore.
Just this week, on the festive occasion of Pongal/Sankranti 2026, the industry stood still as Lokesh Kanagaraj (director of Vikram and Leo) officially announced his collaboration with Allu Arjun. Tentatively titled AA23 (or #LK7), this project marks Lokesh’s debut in Telugu cinema.
The announcement was accompanied by a stylish animated teaser featuring a “Western” vibe—complete with lions, wolves, and a lone rider on horseback. The tagline “Strive for Greatness” has already become a viral sensation.
The “hit machine” duo of Allu Arjun and Trivikram Srinivas (creators of Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo) are reuniting for their fourth collaboration. This time, they aren’t looking at a family drama but a massive mythological epic.
Reports indicate this project could be one of India’s most expensive films ever, with a rumored budget of ₹1,000 crore. Pre-production is expected to intensify in late 2026, with a likely release in 2027.
The saga of Pushpa Raj isn’t over. Following the cliffhanger and explosive success of the second installment, director Sukumar has already begun pre-production for Pushpa 3: The Rampage. Mythri Movie Makers recently leased a new office in Hyderabad specifically to handle the scale of this third chapter. While fans are eager, this project will likely go on floors after Arjun completes his immediate commitments with Atlee.
With a lineup that includes sci-fi, gritty action, and mythological drama, Allu Arjun is strategically diversifying his filmography. Each project is designed as a “Pan-Indian” spectacle, ensuring that his influence continues to grow across North and South India alike.
