The ravage of flood has been continuing for the fourth consecutive day over Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor, and Nellore districts. It completely throws the life of the residents out of gear. Across the Nellore district, nearly 44,270 persons are evacuated and they moved to 92 relief camps.

In the early hours of Sunday due to the flood the bridge that connects the Tadipatri and Kadapa towns along the Papagni river has now collapsed. In many routes, road connectivity is entirely collapsed.

At Kadapa town, early morning of Sunday a three-store building came crashing down due to this natural calamity. In this incident, the police and fire bridge has rescued two persons. Thousands of people were seen walking alongside the railway station. For saving their life they were trying to reach the nearest road point or Nellore.

Rail and road connectivity remain cut off in the temple city of Tirupati. Nellore-Tirupati highway, Tiruttani-Tirupati highway is completely locked. Bengaluru-Tirupati highway is partially sealed. 42 trains have been canceled in the South central division. On Sunday 3 trains are diverted from the Vijayawada division.

At the Kadapa railway station, nearly 2000 devotees were dropped off. They boarded the Tirumala express for going Tirupati. The passengers who were later accommodated in Tirupati in special transports are sparking off protests.

The state government has decided to give rice, edible oil, potatoes, dal, onions, and other essential commodities to the flood-affected area. District administrations of Nellore, Kadapa, Chittoor, and Anantapur have started to measure the flood damage due to this calamity and began to report it to the State government.
