After 21 Years India’s Harnaaz Sandhu Wons the Crown Miss Universe 2021

21 years old Harnaaz Sandhu crowns the 70th Miss Universe 2021 after 21 years Lara Dutta won the title in 2000. She has represented India from Punjab. The event was held in Eilat, Israel. Edging out Paraguay and South African competitors she claims the crown.

Miss Universe Organization has posted the news of Harnaaz’s win on their official Instagram account. They shared the exact moment of the winning and it is shown that she was presented the title by the former Miss Universe 2020 Mexican Andrea Meza in the ceremony. The program was live streaming globally. Respectively the 1st and 2nd are from Paraguay and South Africa.

As part of the last top three rounds, the contestants are asked by the organizers that what suggestions they want to give to the young women who are watching the event on how to handle the pressures that they have faced today.

In the answer Harnaaz said on the stage, “To this, Harnaaz said, “The biggest pressure the youth of today is facing, is to believe in themselves. To know that you are unique makes you beautiful. Stop comparing yourselves with others and let’s talk about more important things that are happening worldwide. Come out, speak for yourself, because you are the leader of your life. I believed in myself and that is why I am standing here today.”

Harnaaz, the model-actress was won the title Miss Universe India 2021 in October. As well as the girl holds multiple beauty pageant crowns like Femina Miss India Punjab in 2019. In 2017 with Times Fresh Face back she had started her beauty pageant journey. The 2Masters’s girl is now pursuing Masters’s degree in Public Administration. Besides she has also starred in many Punjabi films.

At the Times Fresh Face 2021 during an interaction session, Harnaaz spoke about her preparation for Miss Universe India. She told, “I believe I am the only candidate who got the shortest time to prepare, but the team has been putting in a lot of effort to bring the best version out of India. And I am getting a lot of training, be it in terms of communication or putting myself out there confidently. I promise to each one of you that you will enjoy the process – all these efforts will not go in vain.”
