Itel has expanded its Zeno series in India with the launch of the Itel Zeno 20, a new budget smartphone that aims to blend durability with smart features at an accessible price point. The new device starts at an attractive price of Rs. 5,999, making it a strong contender in the entry-level smartphone market. Its key highlights include a large 90Hz display, IP54 ratings for dust and splash resistance, and the integration of a new AI voice assistant.
The Itel Zeno 20 is designed to be a reliable device for first-time smartphone users, as emphasized by the company’s “3P Promise” which stands for protection against dust, water, and drops. The phone comes with an IP54 rating, providing a layer of security against daily elements. It is also packaged with a drop-resistant case, adding further to its rugged appeal.
On the display front, the Itel Zeno 20 features a 6.6-inch HD+ IPS panel with a smooth 90Hz refresh rate. This is a notable feature for a smartphone in this price bracket, offering a more fluid and responsive user experience, particularly when scrolling through social media or navigating the interface. The display also incorporates a “Dynamic Bar” feature, a user-friendly element that displays call alerts and charging status around the front camera cutout.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by an octa-core Unisoc T7100 chipset, running on Android 14 Go Edition. Itel is offering the Zeno 20 in two variants: a base model with 3GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage, and a higher-end version with 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Both variants support memory fusion technology, allowing users to virtually expand the RAM by utilizing a portion of the internal storage.
One of the most significant features of the Itel Zeno 20 is the inclusion of “Aivana 2.0,” Itel’s in-house AI voice assistant. This assistant is designed to simplify smartphone usage for a wide audience, especially those new to the ecosystem. Aivana 2.0 supports Hindi voice commands and can perform a variety of tasks, including opening apps, making WhatsApp calls, and even helping with simple math problems or generating social media captions.
For photography, the Itel Zeno 20 is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with HDR support and an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls. The device is backed by a substantial 5000mAh battery, which should provide all-day power on a single charge. It supports up to 15W charging, although a 10W charger is included in the box. Other features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor for secure unlocking and DTS sound technology for an enhanced audio experience.
The Itel Zeno 20 is available in three color options: Starlit Black, Space Titanium, and Aurora Blue. It will be sold exclusively through Amazon in India, with sales scheduled to begin on August 25. The company is also offering limited-time launch discounts on both variants, making the already-affordable device even more attractive to potential buyers.
