Honda has officially launched the latest iteration of its popular street-naked motorcycle, the Honda Hornet 2.0, for the 2025 model year. The new model arrives with a host of significant updates, including a more robust engine, cutting-edge technology, and enhanced safety features, all while maintaining its aggressive and sporty aesthetic.

The heart of the new Hornet 2.0 is an OBD2B-compliant, 184.4cc single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This refined power unit delivers a respectable 16.7 bhp and 15.7 Nm of peak torque, offering a balanced mix of performance and fuel efficiency. Mated to a 5-speed gearbox, the motorcycle now comes standard with an assist and slipper clutch, which not only provides smoother downshifts but also reduces clutch lever effort, making it ideal for city commuting and spirited rides alike.

A major highlight of the 2025 Hornet 2.0 is its upgraded instrument cluster. The bike features a new 4.2-inch TFT console that brings modern connectivity to the rider’s fingertips. Through Bluetooth connectivity, the display links to the Honda RoadSync app, offering a suite of functionalities such as turn-by-turn navigation support, call alerts, and SMS notifications. A convenient USB-C charging port has also been integrated, ensuring riders can keep their devices charged on the go.

In terms of safety, Honda has left no stone unturned. The new model is now equipped with a traction control system and a dual-channel ABS as standard, providing a superior level of safety and control, especially on challenging road surfaces. The braking system includes disk brakes on both wheels, complementing the upside-down (USD) forks at the front and a mono-shock suspension at the rear. This combination not only ensures confident stopping power but also delivers a stable and comfortable riding experience.

While the core bodywork design remains true to the Hornet lineage, the new bike sports fresh graphics that add to its dynamic appeal. Riders can choose from four vibrant color options: Pearl Igneous Black, Radiant Red Metallic, Athletic Blue Metallic, and Mat Axis Gray Metallic.

Priced at an ex-showroom price of ₹1,58,079 for the standard variant, the new Honda Hornet 2.0 positions itself as a compelling choice in the competitive 180cc motorcycle segment. With its blend of performance, technology, and style, the 2025 Hornet 2.0 is poised to attract both new riders and enthusiasts looking for a feature-rich and reliable motorcycle.
