New Delhi, November 17, 2025: In Ashoknagar, the escalating problem of stray dogs has been highlighted after an attack was carried out on a woman. The woman was ambushed by a pack of eight to ten dogs while she was walking along Anand Kirana street on Pachadikhai Road, according to reports.

The victim was surrounded and was thrown to the ground when the dogs caught her clothes as she attempted to escape. Her life was saved by a BJP leader and member of the Janbhagidari Committee, Deepak Raghuvanshi.

  • The cries for help were heard by the leader, who rushed to the scene.
  • The dogs were driven away by him using a chair.
  • It has been stated that serious injury or death could have been caused if assistance had not been provided.

The rescue was captured on video, and the footage has been widely circulated on social media, bringing attention to the serious danger posed by stray dog packs in the city. The incident is believed to have happened approximately five days prior.

Local residents have been made fearful by the presence of these large groups of dogs, especially those that congregate under the FOB on Pachadikhai Road at night, leading to the risk of lone individuals being chased by the packs in the early morning or late evening.
