New Delhi, November 20, 2025: Realme has once again pushed the boundaries of the flagship smartphone segment with the official launch of the Realme GT 8 Pro in India. Positioned as a device for performance enthusiasts and photography aficionados, the new handset introduces a compelling combination of top-tier silicon, an enormous battery, and a groundbreaking camera collaboration.

Unprecedented Power and Endurance

At the heart of the GT 8 Pro lies the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor. Built on a cutting-edge 3nm architecture, this chipset is paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB of UFS 4.1 storage, promising blistering performance whether users are engaged in intense mobile gaming or demanding multitasking. Realme has further enhanced the experience with its Hyper Vision+ AI chip and a massive 7,000 sq mm vapor chamber (VC) cooling system, branded as the 7K Ultimate VC Cooling System, ensuring sustained peak performance without overheating.

Matching the raw power is a truly substantial 7,000mAh battery, one of the largest capacities seen in a modern flagship. This massive power cell supports 120W Super Flash wired charging and also includes 50W wireless charging, offering remarkable endurance and rapid replenishment. Realme claims the battery can deliver over 20 hours of video streaming and fully charge in under an hour, highlighting a focus on eliminating battery anxiety.

Professional-Grade Photography Meets Unique Design

The Realme GT 8 Pro stands out in the crowded flagship market with its unique camera system, developed in partnership with the legendary Japanese camera brand, Ricoh. This collaboration infuses the smartphone’s optics with the DNA of the Ricoh GR series, a favorite among street photographers.

The triple-camera setup features:

  • A 50MP primary wide-angle sensor with OIS.
  • An ultra-high-resolution 200MP periscope telephoto lens offering 3x optical zoom and up to 12x lossless zoom.
  • A 50MP ultra-wide sensor.

Crucially, the software includes a dedicated Ricoh GR Mode, which provides an authentic shooting experience complete with the classic GR shutter sound and five Ricoh-inspired film tones like Positive Film and High-Contrast B&W.

Adding a playful and personal touch, the GT 8 Pro introduces the world’s first switchable camera bump. This modular design allows users to physically detach and replace the camera island cover with various custom designs, a unique feature for personalization.

The viewing experience on the GT 8 Pro is equally premium, centered around a large 6.79-inch 2K HyperGlow AMOLED display. This panel boasts a fluid 144Hz refresh rate, HDR support, and an astonishing peak brightness of 7,000 nits, ensuring clarity even under harsh sunlight. The device runs on Realme UI 7.0 based on Android 16 right out of the box, integrating new AI features like AI Notify Brief for notification summaries.

The Realme GT 8 Pro will be available in two primary colorways, Diary White and Urban Blue, with pricing starting at Rs 72,999 for the 12GB RAM/256GB storage variant. For collectors and enthusiasts, a special Dream Edition featuring an Aston Martin-inspired design is also on offer.
