Giant Python Filmed After Swallowing Deer in Kerala Forest

New Delhi, December 3, 2025: A chilling and remarkable video captured by locals in Kerala has become an instant viral sensation, documenting the sheer power of nature after a massive python was filmed struggling to move with a large deer visible inside its body. The rare sighting, which took place near a forest road, quickly drew a crowd before wildlife authorities were alerted.

The Discovery on the Meppadi Road

The sighting was reported to have occurred along the Kalladi-Aranamala road, a stretch that runs close to forested areas in the Wayanad district of Kerala. According to eyewitness accounts, the giant snake, identified as a large python species, was found near the roadside. Its massive midsection was heavily distended, clearly showing the large prey item that had just been consumed.

It was quickly ascertained by residents that a deer had been hunted and swallowed by the reptile on the edge of the road, likely drawn to the roadside area in search of prey.
