The milestone also coincides with his remarkable 50 years in the film industry, making the occasion a double delight for his legions of fans across the globe.

Leading the birthday wishes were prominent political figures and cinema icons, underscoring Rajinikanth’s unparalleled impact that extends far beyond the silver screen.

Prime Minister and Political Tributes

Prime Minister Narendra Modi was among the first to send his greetings, praising the superstar’s enduring legacy. On social media, PM Modi wrote a heartfelt tribute, acknowledging his fifty years in films. He specifically lauded Rajinikanth’s ability to captivate generations and his diverse body of work that has consistently set new benchmarks in cinema, wishing him a long and healthy life.

Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin also extended warm wishes, celebrating the actor’s charismatic presence and sincere nature. In his message, CM Stalin hailed his “friend” as a star who has been captivating audiences “from six to sixty for half a century.”

The film fraternity’s tributes were just as grand, led by his long-time contemporary and friend, Kamal Haasan. In a touching message, Haasan celebrated both the man and the monumental career, stating: “75 years of a remarkable life. 50 years of legendary cinema. Happy birthday, my friend.” The reunion of the two titans is also creating a buzz, with a new film project featuring both actors officially in the works.

Actor Dhanush, Rajinikanth’s former son-in-law, kept his message short and sweet, simply wishing his “Thalaiva” a happy birthday—a gesture that resonated deeply with fans, highlighting the enduring respect between them.

The tributes continued with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, who praised Rajinikanth for inspiring generations with his “values, strength, and extraordinary spirit.” Other well-known names like actress-politician Khushbu Sundar, director Karthik Subbaraj, and actor Yogi Babu also joined the chorus, calling him an “institution” of humility and dedication.

Furthermore, Rajinikanth surprised fans with a major revelation, teasing a sequel to the blockbuster, tentatively titled ‘Neelambari – Padayappa 2.’
