
March 19, 2026: The Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) Guwahati is set to announce the results for the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2026 today, March 19, 2026. Thousands of aspirants across the country who appeared for the exam on February 7, 8, 14, and 15 are waiting for the final qualifying status. Ahead of the result declaration, the GATE 2026 Final Answer Key has already been released on the official GOAPS portal.
Candidates can access their results, qualifying marks, and All India Rank (AIR) by logging into the official website: gate2026.iitg.ac.in.

Note: For OBC-NCL/EWS candidates, the cutoff is typically 90% of the General marks, while for SC/ST/PwD candidates, it is approximately 66.6%.
The GATE 2026 Toppers List will be published shortly after the result link is activated. In previous years, toppers in major branches like Computer Science and Mechanical Engineering have consistently scored between 85 and 100 marks.
This year, the Electrical Engineering (EE) paper was reported to be “Difficult,” which may lead to a slightly lower cutoff compared to last year. Conversely, the Data Science and AI (DA) paper saw a record number of applicants, making it one of the most competitive subjects this session.

Qualified candidates can download their scorecards free of charge from the GOAPS portal starting March 27, 2026. After May 31, a fee of ₹500 per paper will be charged for downloading the scorecard until December 31, 2026.
