Tragic Road Accidents in Chengalpattu Claim Three Lives

New Delhi, March 26, 2026 – A grim day on the roads of Chengalpattu district has left families devastated following two separate, fatal traffic accidents. In a span of 24 hours, three lives were lost, including a young boy, highlighting growing concerns over heavy vehicle speed and road safety on the outskirts of Chennai.

Fatal Collision Involving Heavy Lorry

In the first incident, two individuals were killed instantly when a speeding lorry crashed into their vehicle on a busy stretch of the National Highway. In a separate and equally heartbreaking incident, a young boy lost his life while riding a motorcycle in the suburbs of Chengalpattu. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bike skidded or was clipped by another vehicle, causing the boy to lose balance.
