
The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) has officially released the much-awaited scorecard for the Preliminary Examination of the Probationary Officer/Management Trainee (PO/MT) recruitment drive for the year 2025. Candidates who appeared for the Phase 1 online exam, conducted on August 23 and 24, 2025, can now check and download their individual marks from the official IBPS website, ibps.in.
The release of the scorecard, which happened on October 6, 2025, comes shortly after the declaration of the IBPS PO Prelims result on September 26, 2025, and provides crucial information regarding candidates’ performance, irrespective of whether they have qualified for the Mains examination or not.
The scorecard is a vital document for all aspirants and contains detailed, section-wise marks scored by the candidate, along with the total score obtained. Importantly, the IBPS has also released the category-wise and section-wise cut-off marks alongside the scorecards, allowing candidates to fully assess their performance against the qualifying benchmarks.
The window to download the scorecard will remain active for a limited period, and candidates are strongly advised to download and print a copy for their records, as it will be required for reference in the subsequent stages of the recruitment process. The recruitment drive is being conducted to fill a total of 5,208 vacancies for the prestigious post of Probationary Officer across various participating Public Sector Banks.

What’s Next for Qualified Candidates?
Candidates who have successfully met the sectional and overall cut-off criteria in the Preliminary Examination are now eligible to appear for the IBPS PO Mains Examination.
The Mains exam is the next crucial stage and is scheduled to be held on October 12, 2025. The Mains examination will consist of both an Objective Test (carrying 200 marks) and a Descriptive Test (carrying 25 marks). It is important to note that the marks obtained in the Preliminary Examination are only qualifying in nature, and the final merit list will be prepared based on the marks secured in the Mains Examination and the subsequent Interview round. Qualified candidates should intensify their preparation for the Mains exam, as the date is fast approaching.
