New Delhi, April 1, 2026: The National Testing Agency (NTA) has officially released the admit cards for the JEE Main 2026 Session 2 (April Session). Candidates who are scheduled to appear for the country’s premier engineering entrance examination can now access their hall tickets through the official JEE Main portal.
As per the latest updates, the NTA has begun releasing admit cards in a phased manner, starting with candidates appearing for the exams on April 2 and April 4, 2026. Admit cards for the remaining dates—April 5, 6, 7, and 8—are expected to be activated shortly on the official website.
Key Dates for JEE Main 2026 Session 2
Before heading to the download link, ensure you are aware of the revised examination schedule:
- Exam Dates (Paper 1 – B.E./B.Tech): April 2, 4, 5, 6, and 8, 2026.
- Exam Date (Paper 2 – B.Arch/B.Plan): April 7, 2026.
- Admit Card Release Date: Started March 29, 2026 (ongoing).

How to Download JEE Main 2026 Admit Card
Candidates can download their hall tickets using two primary methods. Follow these steps to ensure a smooth download process:
Method 1: Via Application Number and Password
- Visit the official NTA website at jeemain.nta.nic.in.
- On the homepage, click on the link titled “Download Admit Card for JEE (Main) 2026 Session 2”.
- Select the login option “Through Application Number and Password”.
- Enter your unique application number and the password created during registration.
- Input the security pin (Captcha) and click ‘Sign In’.
- Your admit card will appear on the screen. Download the PDF and take multiple printouts.
Method 2: Via Application Number and Date of Birth
- Navigate to the official portal.
- Click the “Admit Card” download link.
- Choose the option “Through Application Number and Date of Birth”.
- Enter your application number and select your Date of Birth (Day-Month-Year) from the dropdown menus.
- Enter the security pin and click ‘Submit’.
- View, download, and print your hall ticket for the exam day.
Important Details to Check on the Admit Card
Once you have downloaded the document, it is crucial to verify the following details for accuracy. In case of any discrepancy, contact the NTA helpline immediately.
- Candidate Information: Full Name, Roll Number, and Category.
- Exam Schedule: Allotted Date of Exam, Shift Timings (Shift 1: 9 AM–12 PM; Shift 2: 3 PM–6 PM).
- Venue Details: Complete address of the assigned Exam Centre.
- Candidate Assets: Photograph and Signature (ensure they are clear and visible).
- Exam Instructions: Read the self-declaration (Undertaking) and exam-day guidelines carefully.
Mandatory Documents for the Exam Centre
Candidates will not be allowed to enter the examination hall without the following:
- Printed Admit Card: Preferably a color printout on A4 paper.
- Valid Photo ID Proof: Original (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, Passport, or Driving License).
- Passport Size Photograph: At least two copies (same as uploaded in the application form) to be pasted on the attendance sheet.
- PwD Certificate: If applicable, issued by the competent authority.
