Eligibility Criteria & Experience

1. Educational Qualifications
Candidates must possess a degree in Engineering (B.E./B.Tech), Technology (M.E./M.Tech), or relevant Science disciplines (M.Sc, MCA, M.Phil).
- Eligible Fields: Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication, Cyber Security, Software Engineering, Data Communication, Statistics, and Mathematics.
- Equivalencies: DOEACC ‘B’ Level or Associate Member of Institute of Engineers (AMIE) are also accepted.
2. Experience Requirements
- Scientist-C: Minimum 4 years of relevant experience in research, development, or technical roles.
- Scientist-D: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience. A PhD is considered desirable for this level.
- Relaxation: Candidates with advanced degrees like M.Tech or M.Phil may be eligible for a 2-year relaxation in the experience requirement.
3. Age Limit (as of April 30, 2026)
- Scientist-C: Maximum 35 years.
- Scientist-D: Maximum 40 years.
- Age relaxation is provided to reserved categories and service candidates as per government rules.
Selection Process
The selection for these senior technical roles follows a rigorous three-stage process:
