Exam City Slip vs. Admit Card

It is important for aspirants to distinguish between the City Intimation Slip and the Admission Certificate (Admit Card):

  • City Intimation Slip: This is a preliminary document released approximately 10 days before the exam. It informs the candidate of the allotted city, exam date, and shift timing. This allows outstation candidates to make travel and lodging arrangements in advance. However, it does not contain the exact venue address and cannot be used to enter the exam hall.
  • Admit Card: The final hall ticket is typically released 3 to 4 days before the exam. This document contains the exact name and address of the test center, the candidate’s roll number, and specific instructions for the exam day.

Mandatory Scribe Registration

The SSC has introduced a vital update regarding the scribe facility. Candidates who require a scribe must register their request again on the official SSC portal, even if they had previously opted for it during the Tier-I stage.

  • For JE Candidates: Registration must be completed by April 3, 2026.
  • For CHSL Candidates: Registration is open until April 5, 2026 (11:00 PM).
  • A separate Scribe Entry Pass will be generated only for those who complete this mapping within the deadline.
