In a surprising turn of events, Soniya Bansal, the actress who gained significant recognition through her participation in Bigg Boss 17, has announced her decision to quit acting. At the age of 28, Bansal, who has worked in both Hindi and Telugu films, stated that despite achieving money and popularity, she was missing peace in her life.
Speaking to a leading entertainment portal, Bansal revealed her inner turmoil, saying, “We are so much into doing everything for others that we forget ourselves. I realized I don’t even know what my true purpose is anymore. In this race to be perfect, to stay relevant, and to earn more, I lost myself.”
Bansal further elaborated on her decision, emphasizing the importance of inner peace over material success. “Money, fame, popularity – I had it all. But what I didn’t have was peace. And what will you do with the money if you’re not at peace? You may have everything externally, but if you’re empty inside, it’s a very dark place to be,” she expressed.
Having made her Bollywood debut in 2019 with “Naughty Gang,” Soniya Bansal went on to feature in films like “Dubki” (2021), “Game 100 Crore Ka” (2022), and the Telugu movie “Dheera” (2023). She also appeared in the action drama web series “Shoorveer” (2022) which streams on Disney+ Hotstar. Currently, she is working on a project titled “Yes Boss,” which might be her last in the acting industry.
Looking ahead, Bansal shared her aspirations to become a life coach and spiritual healer. “I want to deeply study what I really want in life. This industry gave me recognition, but it didn’t give me stillness. It didn’t allow me to breathe. I don’t want to pretend anymore. I want to live authentically, for myself and be a Life Coach & Spiritual Healer,” she stated.
Her journey in Bigg Boss 17 brought her widespread fame, and now, she is choosing a different path focused on self-discovery and helping others find peace. She concluded her statement with a profound thought: “You never know when your life will change. You never know when death might knock. And if we haven’t lived truthfully by then, what’s the point of this entire journey?”
Soniya Bansal’s decision highlights the often-unseen struggles behind the glitz and glamour of the entertainment industry and emphasizes the significance of mental well-being and finding one’s true purpose.
