New Delhi, December 05, 2025: Kashika Kapoor is rapidly emerging as one of the most dedicated and versatile young actresses in the Indian film industry, making significant strides in both Bollywood and Telugu cinema. Born on February 18, 2006, the Mumbai-born actress has quickly built a reputation as a “director’s actor,” earning high praise for her professionalism and commitment to her craft.

Dual-Industry Debut and Noteworthy Roles

Kapoor’s breakthrough into feature films was marked by two key projects. She made her Bollywood debut in 2024 with the socially driven drama Aayushmati Geeta Matric Pass, in which she portrayed Geeta, a young woman fighting for girls’ education. This role earned her critical appreciation for its powerful and relatable portrayal.

Following this, she successfully transitioned to South Indian cinema, debuting in the Telugu-English film LYF: Love Your Father (2025), where she played the role of Sweety. The film, directed by Pavan Ketharaju, explores the emotional bond between a father and daughter. Notably, Pavan Ketharaju, the prominent co-director of Pushpa: The Rise, has praised her adaptability, highlighting a time she prepped for a demanding dance sequence in just one hour. Directors across her projects admire her commitment, with one noting her ability to speak “refined Telugu” despite it being a new language for her.

Before her film career, Kashika gained significant recognition in the music world, featuring as the female lead in more than a dozen popular music videos, including “Dil Pe Zakham” (2022) and “Tere Kol Rehna” (2024). She was also the face of the international video game Free Fire as the character Moco.

Dedication and Upcoming Projects

Kashika Kapoor’s career is defined by her deep dedication. She has a strong foundation in acting, having trained at the New York Film Academy and the Jeff Goldberg Studio. She is also a trained Kathak dancer and a singer. Beyond the arts, she is a former national-level basketball player.

She is currently working on multiple projects, including two major South Indian films, one of which is with Gagan under the prestigious Geetha Arts banner. Additionally, she is set to star in an upcoming romantic comedy directed by Vivek Singhania.

Reflecting on her journey, Kapoor remains grounded, stating that hearing praise from directors is humbling. She believes her focus is on being a student of the craft and bringing honesty to every role, which is clearly resonating with filmmakers and audiences alike. She continues to expand her horizons, recently marking a cultural bridge between India and Saudi Arabia with her presence in the country.
