New Delhi, October 10, 2025: The Telugu thriller film, Tribanadhari Barbarik, which stars Sathyaraj, has been made available for digital streaming on two prominent Over-The-Top (OTT) platforms, only weeks after an emotional video clip of the director went viral. The movie, which had a brief and unsuccessful run in cinemas, is now being offered to a wider audience on both Sun NXT and Prime Video.

Dual Platform Release Secured

The digital rights for the film were acquired by Sun NXT, and the movie was premiered on the platform on October 10, 2025. This release was immediately followed by the film’s availability on Prime Video, where a multilingual stream is being offered. On Sun NXT, the film can be watched in both Telugu and Tamil audio, while a larger selection of languages, including Telugu, Tamil, Kannada, and Hindi, is being provided by Prime Video.

The film, which is directed by Mohan Srivatsa, was released in theatres on August 29, 2025. It was produced by Vijaypal Reddy Adidhala under the Vanara Celluloid banner. The storyline, which is described as a suspense thriller laced with mythological elements, follows the character played by Sathyaraj, a psychiatrist whose life is thrown into chaos when his granddaughter goes missing. The plot is explored with an emphasis on the psychological and moral dimensions of its characters.

Director’s Viral Outcry Remembered

The dual platform release is considered notable, especially because of the social media attention the film was given shortly after its theatrical run. An emotional video was released by director Mohan Srivatsa, which was widely circulated across the internet.

In the clip, the director’s deep disappointment over the low theatrical turnout was expressed. He was filmed making a passionate appeal, expressing his sadness over how local Telugu films are being discouraged by audiences who are prioritizing films from other languages. The clip, in which a dramatic gesture of self-reproach was performed, soon was picked up by news outlets and social media channels.

It is hoped by the makers that the movie will be embraced by a larger viewership in the digital space. The film’s unique concept and the lead performance by Sathyaraj were praised by critics, and a second chance for the film to connect with viewers across different regions is now being provided by the OTT release. This digital launch is being viewed by the industry as a positive step for a small-budget film that was struggling in the current theatrical landscape.
