Hip hop was first introduced in India by Baba Sehgal, a Punjabi rapper in 1990. With the hand of his hit songs “Thanda Thanda Paani” and “Dil Dhadke” the trend was started. But in the early 2000s Bohemia, a Pakistani American rapper provided the Indian Hip-Hop with the spark and released “Vich Pardesan De”.

Getting the influence from Bohemia a group of five people Lil Golu, Ikka, Badshah, Yo Yo Honey Singh, and Raftaar came hitting into the Punjabi rap genre. They produced so many hit songs. But within some days the group was parted and members started their work as individuals.

Finally, the real competition was started between Yo Yo Honey Singh and Badshah when Honey Singh released his album “Desi Kalakaar” in August 2014.

After listening to two popular rap songs “Aafat” by Naezy and “Mere Gully Mein” by “Divine” Director Zoya Akhtar was very impressed and portray the stories of both rappers in her popular movie “Gully Boy”. It was released on 14th February 2019 and got a marvelous success. It was the first hip-hop movie in India.

The success of  “Gully Boy” opened the door for all the skilled and talented young Indian rappers. They got a huge amount of exposure in Mumbai after the movie. From this time hip hop had started to gain its ground in Indian culture. A lot of music reality show was started for rap singers and they were very popular.

In the pandemic period 2020-2021, a lot of rap singers had come in limelight and their songs are very popular among Indian music lovers.

The various genres like desi hip-hop, rap metal mumble rap, lyrical rap are gaining popularity in recent times. Karma, Naezy, Divine, Bella, Raftaar, Krsna, Byg Smyle are very popular rappers in India.

Ethereum is open access to digital money and data-friendly services for everyone. It doesn’t matter what’s your location. It’s a community-built technology behind cryptocurrency. Users don’t need to provide personal details to use an Ethereum app. It allows the users to move money, or make agreements, directly with someone else and don’t need to contact any intermediary companies.

For the reasons slowly Ethereum gets the worldwide popularity like Indian rap songs. The value of Ethereum increases mostly in recent times of the year. The popularity of Ethereum stands Bitcoin in high competition worldwide.

The future of Indian Hip-Hop is as bright as the sun for the artists as well as the fans. Like Ethereum, it will also stand the other Indian songs in a high competition ground near future.
