Gautam Gambhir gets threats from ISIS Kashmir

Delhi: Former Indian cricketer and present Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Gautam Gambhir reported to Delhi Police on Tuesday night as he has got the death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’. He received the second threat after the first threat from this terrorist gang.

Video footage from the outside of his residence was also attached with the death threat. The official said that the mail was containing the message, “We’re going to kill you and your family”. A complaint has been reported through his personal secretary, Gaurav Arora in Rajendra Nagar Police Station. He has registered a First  Information Report on this matter and wanted security outside of the house.

The letter sent to DCP central district Gaurav Arora started, “This is further to our telecommunication, we have received an email from ISIS Kashmir on the official email ID of Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday evening. The mail states death threat to MP and his family. I, therefore, request you to look into the matter and make adequate security arrangements.”

Shweta Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) said, “The complaint alleged that an unidentified person had sent an email on Tuesday on the email ID of Gautam Gambhir threatening to kill him and his family members.”

DCP said that now police are agitated into action. Though no FIR has been registered as the investigation process is undergoing about this matter. Besides, the armed security forces are now posted outside of Gautam Gambhir’s Rajendra Nagar house.

In the form of emails, the retired cricketer and present politician have received death threats. On Tuesday at 9.32 pm in his official email id, Gambhir has got this. Regarding the threats, other details are yet to be discerned. After verifying the email address that from where he has got this police will start their investigation.

In 2019 on a BJP ticket Gautam Gambhir was elected as the MP of Lok Sabha from east Delhi. He had played at the international level for 15 years as a cricketer of the Indian team. For many years he was also the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL team. In 2018 he had taken his retirement from cricketer’s life. Then he joined politics and started his journey as a politician.
