New Delhi, January 8, 2026: A massive wave of disbelief was triggered across social media after a Bengaluru-based content creator couple revealed their total expenditure for the year 2025. In a detailed Instagram video shared on January 5, 2026, creators Prakriti Arora and Ashish Kumar—known online as Escape to Landscapes—broke down their annual finances, revealing a staggering total of nearly Rs 47,00,000. While many viewers initially dismissed the post as an elaborate “prank” or a “flex,” the couple insisted that the figures represented a realistic look at their lifestyle as full-time travel influencers.

The Massive Cost of Global Exploration

The single largest contributor to the massive bill was revealed to be the couple’s extensive travel schedule. It was disclosed that over the course of 2025, a total of Rs 29 lakh was spent on international and domestic trips alone. The couple reported taking 63 flights and visiting 13 countries across six continents, spending 121 nights in various hotels and Airbnbs. It was argued by them that travel serves as both a personal passion and a necessary professional investment for their content creation business.

Fitness, Food, and Lifestyle Choices

Beyond travel, significant amounts were allocated to health and daily living in Bengaluru. It was shared that Rs 1 lakh was spent on fitness, which included personal trainers and Pilates memberships. Their health-conscious diet, consisting of organic groceries and frequent salad orders, added another Rs 2.5 lakh to the annual total. Even the cost of residing in the city was substantial, with an annual rent of Rs 5 lakh being paid for their apartment, highlighting the premium price of living in India’s tech hub.

Investment in Content and “Love Bands”

As professional creators, a sum of Rs 2.5 lakh was invested in upgrading cameras, lenses, and other technical equipment throughout the year. Interestingly, the lifestyle portion of their budget included Rs 4 lakh for shopping and what they described as “matching love bands.” Miscellaneous costs, ranging from house help and utilities to grooming and local cab commutes, accounted for the remaining Rs 2.8 lakh, rounding off a budget that many netizens compared to a high-ranking corporate professional’s annual CTC.

Financial Transparency and Public Backlash

The video has prompted a polarized response from the public, with many questioning the “relatability” of such spending. While some users praised the couple for their financial transparency and for “living life to the fullest,” others criticized the post for being a display of privilege. It was emphasized by Prakriti and Ashish that regular financial reviews helped them remove “insecurities” about money. As of January 8, 2026, the video remains a major talking point, serving as a rare, unfiltered window into the high-spending world of modern digital influencers.
