
New Delhi, April 10, 2026 – Underscoring the importance of specialized training and innovation in the healthcare sector, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath attended the National Integration and Innovation Conference (NIC 2026) at the Atal Bihari Vajpayee Medical University (ABVMU) campus in Lucknow.
The event, which brought together medical professionals, nursing experts, and paramedical students from across the country, served as a platform to discuss the future of medical education and the integration of technology in clinical practice.
During his keynote address, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath emphasized that nursing and paramedical staff are the “true backbone” of the healthcare delivery system. He highlighted that while doctors diagnose, it is the dedicated care of the nursing and paramedical cadre that ensures patient recovery.
“Our focus is not just on building infrastructure but on creating a skilled workforce. Through initiatives like Mission Niramaya, we have significantly improved the quality of nursing and paramedical education in Uttar Pradesh, making our youth globally competitive.”
The Chief Minister noted that the state is rapidly moving toward its goal of having a medical college in every district, which necessitates a parallel growth in trained paramedical staff to manage these new facilities.
A key theme of NIC 2026 was the adoption of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and digital tools in medical training. CM Yogi pointed out that ABVMU is playing a pivotal role in standardizing medical education across the state.
