New Delhi, December 13, 2025: A disturbing video clip capturing an unprovoked attack by a dog on a security guard stationed near a school gate in Mumbai has achieved massive viral circulation. The sudden, violent nature of the assault, which occurred in broad daylight at a location frequented by children, has sparked widespread public fear and intensified the ongoing debate regarding the safe management of aggressive pets in urban residential areas.

The Vicious Attack Is Documented

The widely circulated footage, believed to have been captured on a CCTV camera near a prominent school, showed the security guard performing his duty at the entrance gate. The dog, which appeared to be a large, non-stray breed, was observed roaming freely in the area. Without any discernible provocation, the animal suddenly rushed at the unsuspecting guard.

The guard was observed being forcefully brought down to the ground as the dog savagely bit him. A brief, chaotic struggle ensued before the dog could be pulled away. The severe nature of the attack—which involved the dog latching onto the man—was the key element that fueled the video’s immediate and alarming spread across social media platforms. The incident highlighted the significant danger posed by unsupervised animals in high-traffic public zones.

Injuries Are Sustained and FIR Is Lodged

Following the terrifying ordeal, the security guard was immediately rushed to a nearby medical facility where he received treatment for multiple bite injuries. While his condition was later reported to be stable, the psychological trauma and physical wounds sustained were serious.

The incident led to an official First Information Report (FIR) being lodged with the local police. The focus of the police investigation was reportedly centered on identifying the owner of the dog. Legal proceedings were initiated under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) concerning negligence leading to injuries, with the aim of holding the owner accountable for the animal’s actions.
