New Delhi, December 2, 2025: A highly-viewed video shared by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai, detailing the record-breaking participation in the annual Dubai Run, has gone viral, with a key moment of patriotic spectacle being credited to the Indian expatriate community. The footage, which gained over 10 million views on Instagram alone, prominently featured a group of individuals carrying a massive UAE national flag, a spectacular initiative later revealed to be the work of over 1,600 members of the Indian community.

The viral video, which showcased the incredible turnout of more than 307,000 participants in the Dubai Fitness Challenge 2025, used the image of the giant flag as its second major shot, immediately following the sweeping aerial view of the runners. The immense 30-meter-long and three-meter-wide UAE flag, carried down the iconic Sheikh Zayed Road, became an instant symbol of national unity and community spirit.

The spectacular sight was noted by event presenters as an “unbelievable sight.” The flag’s inclusion in the official video shared by the Crown Prince was seen as the best possible reward for the participants, validating their efforts to express their love for their second home, the UAE.

It was confirmed that the large group of flag-bearers were members of the Dubai Beary community, a Muslim community predominantly residing in the Tulu Nadu region of the Indian state of Karnataka. The initiative was stated to have been born from careful planning, with a dedicated core team of 20 volunteers working for over a month to mobilise their community.

The central idea, proposed by a core team member, was to carry the massive flag as a gesture symbolizing unity, gratitude, and love for the UAE. More than 1,400 participants from the group were observed wearing custom-made red T-shirts, creating a striking and coordinated presence among the sea of runners. The enthusiastic participation, which included women and children, became an unforgettable moment for the entire Beary community worldwide.
