New Delhi, December 13, 2025: A highly charged viral video capturing a man being forcefully removed from a cinema hall after he allegedly refused to stand during the playing of the National Anthem has sparked a furious public debate. The incident, which was reportedly filmed inside a theatre in a major Indian city, intensified the ongoing discussion regarding nationalistic obligations, personal freedom, and the appropriate enforcement of social conduct within public spaces.

The Anthem Refusal Is Documented

The widely circulated video clip captured the scene as the National Anthem, ‘Jana Gana Mana,’ was being played just before the commencement of the main feature film. In the footage, all patrons within the theatre were observed standing respectfully, with the exception of one man.
