New Delhi, November 14, 2025: Following the recent accident at Navale Bridge, charges have been filed against the truck driver, the truck cleaner, and the vehicle owner. All three individuals, who are reportedly from Rajasthan, were booked under sections of the Indian Penal Code, including one for culpable homicide.
The booking was made after a detailed investigation into the accident that occurred on the bridge. The primary charge, culpable homicide not amounting to murder, was leveled due to the severity of the incident and the apparent negligence involved. Other relevant sections of the IPC concerning rash and negligent driving, and causing hurt by an act endangering life or personal safety of others, were also included in the complaint.
It was reported that the heavy vehicle, a truck, was being driven by the primary accused at the time of the collision. The truck cleaner was also charged, presumably for their role, or lack thereof, in ensuring the safe operation of the vehicle. Furthermore, the vehicle owner was implicated, with their booking potentially stemming from issues related to vehicle maintenance, roadworthiness, or adherence to transportation regulations.
The case will now be handled by the appropriate judicial authorities. The accused individuals are expected to be presented before a magistrate where the formal charges will be read out. Further legal action, including arrests and judicial custody, is likely to be pursued as the investigation continues and the trial process begins. Justice is sought for the victims and their families through these proceedings.
