New Delhi, October 10, 2025: A series of highly circulated videos, which claimed to depict dramatic incidents of cattle attacking vehicles on Indian roads, have recently been confirmed as fabrications created using Artificial Intelligence (AI) tools. The footage, which shows animals seemingly destroying expensive cars and ramming auto-rickshaws, was widely shared across various social media platforms, often with the misleading assertion that real events were being shown. The viral clips were viewed by millions before their true nature was conclusively exposed by fact-checkers.

Inconsistencies Detected in Footage

The videos, which were initially shared as evidence of escalating traffic woes caused by stray cattle, were subjected to careful scrutiny. Several visual inconsistencies and anomalies were quickly identified by digital forensics experts and were considered to be characteristic of content generated by AI video synthesis technology.

For instance, in a video purporting to show a bull destroying a luxury car, shop signboards were seen disappearing during the clip, and one car in the background was observed to be moving in reverse in an unrealistic manner. In another video showing an attack on an auto-rickshaw, the number of cows was noticed to change mid-scene, a typical flaw in current AI video generation.

Furthermore, a specific tool designed for the detection of AI-generated content was applied to the footage. The results reportedly flagged the videos with extremely high aggregate scores, strongly indicating that they were not authentic recordings of real-world events.

Source of Creation Identified

The origin of these sophisticated videos has since been traced back to a specific Instagram account that regularly features AI-created content. The creator’s profile explicitly identifies them as an “AI filmmaker,” and the page was found to contain numerous other videos featuring similar digitally constructed scenes of animals interacting with vehicles.

While incidents involving stray cattle on Indian roads are genuinely reported and continue to be a considerable public concern, it has been emphatically established that the specific high-impact scenes presented in these viral videos were not real and were entirely computer-generated. The rapid and widespread circulation of these videos serves as a stark illustration of the ongoing challenge posed by deepfakes and AI-generated media in spreading misinformation online. The public is urged to exercise extreme caution when consuming unverified dramatic footage of this nature.
