Covid-19: Fully Vaccinated 66 Medical Students are Covid Positive in Kerala

Kerala: Dharwad district situated in Kerala has recorded zero covid cases a few days ago. But now it has suffered a jolt after 66 medical students tested Covid positive. On 25th November the administration of the Dharwad district has sealed the two hostels of SDM College of Medical Sciences and Hospitals.

The majority of the students are from the first year tested positive. The district administration declared the hostel as a containment zone. A team containing the health officials and personnel is now deployed on this medical college campus.

On 25th November Nitesh Patil, the Deputy Commissioner of Dharwad district has visited the college campus. He has done a meeting with the college authorities and staff. During the meeting, he sought details about the precautions taken by the college authorities.

At the media conference District Health and Family Welfare Officer Dr. Yashwanth Madinkar, District Surveillance Officer Dr. Sujata Hasavimath, and College principal Dr. Ratnamala Desai were present.

After doing the meeting and visiting the campus Deputy Commissioner said to the media persons that two students’ hostels had been sealed. And the remaining faculty members and students are directed to do an RT-PCR test immediately.

All the positive students were attained in a students’ program on 17 November at D. Veerendra Heggade Kalakshetra located on the college campus.

Mr. Patil said that all the students who are affected in Covid are had received both 1st and 2nd doses of the Covid-19 vaccine. He added though many students are asymptomatic some have mild symptoms. Besides the health condition of the positive students are stable. But all of them will be quarantined for fourteen days.

Commissioner added, “All the primary contacts are being tested. Of the 400 students in the college, so far, 300 students have been tested, of which 66 have tested positive. The results of the tests on the remaining 100 students will be known on November 26.”

The infected students are moved to a block of the hostel and the others who are waiting for the result have been already shifted to another block and the area is now closed as a containment zone.

All the positive students were hostel inmates. It increases the huge chance of spreading infection on the campus. So the college authority is trying to get a trace of the primary and secondary contacts.

Gautam Gambhir gets threats from ISIS Kashmir

Delhi: Former Indian cricketer and present Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) MP Gautam Gambhir reported to Delhi Police on Tuesday night as he has got the death threats from ‘ISIS Kashmir’. He received the second threat after the first threat from this terrorist gang.

Video footage from the outside of his residence was also attached with the death threat. The official said that the mail was containing the message, “We’re going to kill you and your family”. A complaint has been reported through his personal secretary, Gaurav Arora in Rajendra Nagar Police Station. He has registered a First  Information Report on this matter and wanted security outside of the house.

The letter sent to DCP central district Gaurav Arora started, “This is further to our telecommunication, we have received an email from ISIS Kashmir on the official email ID of Gautam Gambhir on Tuesday evening. The mail states death threat to MP and his family. I, therefore, request you to look into the matter and make adequate security arrangements.”

Shweta Chauhan, Deputy Commissioner of Police (Central) said, “The complaint alleged that an unidentified person had sent an email on Tuesday on the email ID of Gautam Gambhir threatening to kill him and his family members.”

DCP said that now police are agitated into action. Though no FIR has been registered as the investigation process is undergoing about this matter. Besides, the armed security forces are now posted outside of Gautam Gambhir’s Rajendra Nagar house.

In the form of emails, the retired cricketer and present politician have received death threats. On Tuesday at 9.32 pm in his official email id, Gambhir has got this. Regarding the threats, other details are yet to be discerned. After verifying the email address that from where he has got this police will start their investigation.

In 2019 on a BJP ticket Gautam Gambhir was elected as the MP of Lok Sabha from east Delhi. He had played at the international level for 15 years as a cricketer of the Indian team. For many years he was also the captain of Kolkata Knight Riders, the IPL team. In 2018 he had taken his retirement from cricketer’s life. Then he joined politics and started his journey as a politician.

The 1st Electric Vehicles Charging Station will Open in Greater Noida Very Soon

Noida: Within two days the charging station will open for electric vehicles (EVs) in Greater Noida. On Tuesday the officials said that 100 stations are planned for this city.

For building this electric charging station, The Greater Noida Industrial Development Authority (GNIDA) has signed the memorandum of understanding (MoU) with CESL. Authority said, “The first charging station is targeted to be commissioned in the next weeks in the Alpha commercial belt.”

The MoU was signed in the presence of in charge of OSD and commerce cell Naveen Kumar Singh, Additional CEO of GNIDA Deep Chandra, and the officers of CESL.

On Tuesday an official statement has given from the government. They told, “On instructions of GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan, charging stations for electric vehicles are going to be built at 100 places in Greater Noida. For this, the GNIDA has signed an agreement with Convergence Energy Services Limited (a subsidiary of EESL) on Tuesday.”

After setting up the first electric charging station in the Alpha commercial area a survey will conduct jointly with CESL for identifying the remaining locations for EV charging stations, GNIDA said. They also claimed that within ten days the survey report will be submitted.

Greater Noida has joined the campaign National Electric Mobility Scheme. The authority has said they have given much effort to promote electric vehicles all over the country under this scheme. For fulfillment, the need has to concern with the EV charging stations.

GNIDA CEO Narendra Bhooshan has said that these charging stations will give a great advantage to the vehicles’ owners and drivers. Mahua Acharya, MD, and CEO of CESL told that in Asia Greater Noida is now one of the leading industrial cities. The city has now enough convenience to promote electric vehicles.

The number of electric vehicles is now increasing in India in the last couple of years. Both startups and traditional manufactures are bringing their electronic vehicles in two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and four-wheeler segments. The nimble of EVs are going fast. But the deficiency of charging stations is creating concern for these vehicles’ owners.

The EV charging station has been set up by many companies. But these efforts are not sufficient to build up the electric transport system in a huge order.

Man has Gifted His Wife Taj Mahal in Madhya Pradesh

In Madhya Pradesh‘s Burhanpur a man has built a replica of the Taj Mahal. As Shah Jahan made the architecture for his wife as a symbol of love, the MP man also gifts this architecture like home to his spouse.

Educationist Anand Prakash Chouksey has made the building for his wife Manjusha Chouksey. For getting inspiration they have visited the actual cenotaph at Agra.

Mrs. Chouksey said, “I’m extremely happy. I never expected he would gift me something so special. The party was organized by professional event organizers, and the setting was surreal. It felt like we are literally on the moon.”

Anand Chouksey was also thought that why the Taj Mahal was not made in Burhanpur, in his city. It is known that at first Taj Mahal was built on the bank of the Tapti river. But later it was built in Agra besides the bank of Yamuna. The belief is in Mr. Chouksey that when any tourist will come to Burhanpur they can’t ignore his structure.

The house is a perfect replica of the Taj Mahal. It has been taken three years for building. The engineer who constructed this building said that it was much challenging to make this house. He has studied the structure of the real Taj Mahal very deeply. They built this based on a 3D image of the Taj Mahal. making the carving inside the house he wanted help from the artists of Indore and Bengal.

According to the engaged engineer, the basic structure of this construction has occupied 60 square meters and with minarets, the whole area is 90 square meters. The height of the dome of this building is 29 feet. It has the towers like real Taj Mahal. Mumbai artisans have prepared the furniture for this house and the floor has been made from ‘Makrana’ of Rajasthan.

It has four bedrooms. Two of these are upstairs and two are downstairs. It also has a big hall, one kitchen, one meditation room, and one library. The most attractive part of this house is its lighting. The lighting is made in a way that it will shine like a real Taj Mahal in dark.

Andhra Pradesh Floods: Daily Life is Going to be Difficult

Andhra Pradesh: The situation is very poor in Andhra Pradesh. Due to the uncontrollable flood man’s life is going to be difficult. The Rayalaseema and Nellore districts of Andhra Pradesh have now shot up with 41 dead bodies. While 2 dead bodies have been identified at Chinnamandem Mandal in Kadapa district and 6 more death news has been reported at Rajampet Mandal.

On Sunday 4 death cases are reported in the Nellore district. Fifteen bodies have already been handed over to their families and unidentified three bodies are now at Rajampet government hospital of Kadapa district. A woman including two siblings was trying to cross the Mandavya river. But in the strong current, they have washed away. Their body has been found near Vandadi village.

The ravage of flood has been continuing for the fourth consecutive day over Anantapur, Kadapa, Chittoor, and Nellore districts. It completely throws the life of the residents out of gear. Across the Nellore district, nearly 44,270 persons are evacuated and they moved to 92 relief camps.

In the early hours of Sunday due to the flood the bridge that connects the Tadipatri and Kadapa towns along the Papagni river has now collapsed. In many routes, road connectivity is entirely collapsed.

At Kadapa town, early morning of Sunday a three-store building came crashing down due to this natural calamity. In this incident, the police and fire bridge has rescued two persons. Thousands of people were seen walking alongside the railway station. For saving their life they were trying to reach the nearest road point or Nellore.

Rail and road connectivity remain cut off in the temple city of Tirupati. Nellore-Tirupati highway, Tiruttani-Tirupati highway is completely locked. Bengaluru-Tirupati highway is partially sealed. 42 trains have been canceled in the South central division. On Sunday 3 trains are diverted from the Vijayawada division.

At the Kadapa railway station, nearly 2000 devotees were dropped off. They boarded the Tirumala express for going Tirupati. The passengers who were later accommodated in Tirupati in special transports are sparking off protests.

The state government has decided to give rice, edible oil, potatoes, dal, onions, and other essential commodities to the flood-affected area. District administrations of Nellore, Kadapa, Chittoor, and Anantapur have started to measure the flood damage due to this calamity and began to report it to the State government.

For the Fifth Time, Indore is Declared the Cleanest City of India

Indore, situated in Madhya Pradesh is again declared India’s ‘cleanest city’ of the year for the fifth time in a row. The result is declared by a nationwide annual cleanliness survey ‘Swachh Survekshan’ 2021. On Saturday the findings were announced by President Ram Nath Kovind at the Vigyan Bhawan of New Delhi.

Indore’s collector has taken Twitter for giving congratulation to the citizens. Collector tweeted, “Congratulations to the residents of Indore as the city has been declared the cleanest city of the country for the fifth time in a row. Collector Manish Singh has said that this has been possible due to the awareness among the residents.”

Earlier this year Indore was also declared the first ‘water plus’ city of India. Swachh Survekshan is an annual survey program part of the Swachh Bharat Mission. Every year all India’s cities and towns are awarded for their sanitation and cleanliness drives.

The results depend on the examination by the officers. Mainly the survey focused on sanitation, hygiene, and cleanliness of towns and cities. It also relies on the feedback of the residents based on the waste removal, maintenance, and functionality of the community toilet, safe management of fecal mire from the toilets, and defections-free ratings.

Besides Indore, Surat which is located in Gujarat adjudged the second rank in this category of the nationwide survey. Vijayawada situated in Andhra Pradesh holds the third position.

On another side, Varanasi bagged the ‘cleanest Ganga town’ in the survey. Munger and Patna hold the second and third positions in this cleanest Ganga town category.

With less than 1 lakh population Vita city of Maharashtra has secured the award in the ‘cleanest city’ category followed by Sasvad and Lonavala. While 1-3 lakh population category New Delhi Municipal Council has carried the first position in India’s ‘cleanest small city’.

Union Housing and Urban Affairs Ministry announced that Chhattisgarh has got the award of India’s ‘cleanest state’. Though Maharashtra and Madhya Pradesh have more than 100 urban local bodies they hold the second and third position in the cleanest state category.

The ministry said, “Over the years, Swachh Survekshan (SS) has emerged as an effective tool for transforming the urban landscape. Despite the on-ground challenges posed by Covid-19, a team of over 2,000 assessors visited over 65,000 wards in a record time of 28 days.”

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Farm Laws will be Withdrawn, PM Apologies to the Nation

After the fierce protests by farmers, the three farm laws will be canceled, said PM Narendra Modi on Friday morning. The protest was continuing over a year at Delhi Border. Before the election in Uttar Pradesh, Punjab, and other states the government takes a U-turn and change its decision. After the announcement netizens had shared their opinion on social media. Including Sonu Sood, many celebrities have taken tweeter and congratulated farmers.A

Address to the nation Prime Minister said, “While apologizing to the nation, I want to say with a sincere and pure heart that maybe something was lacking… that we couldn’t explain the truth to some of our farmer brothers… we have decided to repeal the three farm laws.”

The three farm laws-

Law 1: Farmers (Empowerment and Protection) Agreement of Price Assurance and Farm Services Act.

According to this law, the Indian government said that through market forces the crop prices would be determined. Farmers will get more revenues for growing the in-demand crops. The government claimed that, under this law, farmers can now directly deal with end-buyers.

But the farmers were worried that the new law may be evaporated their guaranteed minimum price for the produce. They also feared the ‘corporatization of agriculture may force on the farmers unreasonably low prices.

Law 2: Farmers Produce Trade and Commerce (Promotion and Facilitation) Act.

The government said that under this law farmers can freely sell their farm produce in any place of the country. And they don’t have to pay state tax for this trade.

Small and marginal farmers said that it is difficult to get better prices at the market. Because storage and travel are much cost-efficient. They are also angry about section 8 of this law which said that farmers can appeal to the sub-divisional magistrate(SDM) for dispute resolution. They told that they are not much influential to go to the SDM office.

Law 3: Essential Commodities (Amendment Act).

Under this law government’s power was to scrap the limited stocks of essential food, except for an extraordinary situation. Onions, edible oil, and other goods were removed from this list. It may further allow the government to regulate the trade of such goods or they can re-include those commodities on the list.

In this law, there were no odds between the government and farmers.

Meta’s Reality Lab is Now Working on Developing Haptic Gloves

Reality Lab is a division of Facebook’s new parent company Meta. It is now working to create haptic gloves. It can give the sense of virtual touch. When the user will touch a virtual object in the metaverse then they will be able to feel the virtual texture and pressure as it happens in the real world.

Mark Zuckerberg, Founder of Facebook and CEO of Meta has shared a video on his page. Within a few minutes, it has been viral. In this video, he has seen using the haptic glove and is doing interact with the virtual world such as Jenga pieces.

Meta is formerly known as Facebook. Their Reality Lab team is working to develop haptic gloves for the last seven years. The company said in a press release that now they have done a breakthrough in microfluidics and soft robotics. Still, these are in progress.

The gloves are developed with pads known as actuators or Meta calls it tiny soft motors. The company also said that the gloves are customizable and comfortable and will “reproduce a range of sensations in virtual worlds, including texture, pressure, and vibration.” Besides that, it will also work with one’s VR headset for immersive feeling such as poker games.

In scientific research, these gloves throw a new challenge. It opens a new domain of scientific research. The research with Perceptual science, Soft Robotics, Microfluidics, Hand tracking, and Haptic rendering Meta has broken the boundaries and has made something challenging.

In ‘Perceptual Science’ Meta has to “explore the idea of combining auditory, visual, and haptic feedback for things like convincing a wearer’s perceptual system that it’s a feeling an object’s weight.” The company also developing the world’s first high-speed ‘Microfluidic processor’. It can control the airflow which moves the actuators.

The company told that the gloves were built with “advanced hand-tracking technology to enable it to identify precisely where your hand is in a virtual scene.” Besides the ‘Haptic renderer’ is also there. It can send precise instructions to the actuators of the hand.

South Indian Actor Suriya get Police Security After Getting Threats

Armed police have been posted in front of the Chennai home of renowned actor Suriya Sivakumar. He got threats from the Vanniyar Community regarding his newly released movie ‘Jai Bhim‘. After reporting to the police station he has got police security. Suriya got legal notice from the community and they claim that a scene has been ‘tarnished’ in this film- in which a man from their caste tortured a tribal man.

The Vanniyar asserts that the scene denigrated their community and they have claimed 5 crores for that. They have also claimed to remove all the scenes connected with them and warned the director and actor about taking civil and criminal action.

In Tamil Nadu, Vanniyar is the most backward community. They are dominated by northern districts.

Jai Bhim was released on 2nd November on the OTT channel Amazon Prime. It has also available in Hindi and Telugu. A powerful courtroom drama has been presented in the film. The movie is inspired by the life of the former Madras High Court Judge and human rights activist Justice Chandru. He fought against the harassment of the downtrodden sections of society.

The film is based on the story of an Irula woman, whose husband died in police custody, and Justice Chandru is seeking justice for that helpless lady. Suriya plays the role of Justice Chandru. He has also produced the movie. The controversial scene included one shot and it features a communal symbol. The scene has been replaced with the image of a deity.

In the reply to a letter from Thol. Thirumavalavan, the Lok Sabha MP from Tamil Nadu, Suriya has been questioned about the importance of cinema and art in raising social awareness such as the issue addressed in ‘Jai Bhim‘. Thirumavalavan said, “Real societal change can only happen through the government and its agencies.”

On Wednesday the actor tweeted and thank his fans for their continuing support. He wrote on tweeter, “Dear all, this love for Jai Bhim is overwhelming. I’ve never witnessed this before! Can’t express in words how thankful I am for the trust and reassurance you all have given us. Heartfelt thanks for standing by us.”

Suriya and his wife Jyotika met with the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu MK Stalin and donate a 1 crore cheque for the development of the Irula tribe.
