New Delhi, March 3, 2026 — The Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026 has witnessed a seismic shift in the definition of “mobile technology” as HONOR took center stage to unveil its vision for Augmented Human Intelligence (AHI). Moving beyond the traditional glass-and-metal slab, the global tech brand introduced a trio of innovations: the industry-first Robot Phone, its debut Humanoid Robot, and the record-breaking Magic V6 foldable.

The launch, part of HONOR’s ambitious ALPHA PLAN, signals a transition from AI as a software feature to “Embodied AI”—where hardware physically moves and interacts with the world.

The HONOR Robot Phone: A “New Species” of Smartphone

The undisputed star of the showcase was the HONOR Robot Phone. Described by CEO James Li as a “new species,” this device challenges the static nature of modern smartphones.

  • Miniaturized Gimbal System: The phone features a built-in, 4-degree-of-freedom (4DoF) mechanical arm equipped with a 200MP sensor. Powered by micro-motors 70% smaller than conventional ones, the camera can extend, rotate, and tilt like a human neck.
  • Physical EQ (Emotional Intelligence): Unlike Siri or Alexa, the Robot Phone uses motion to communicate. It can nod in agreement, shake its “head” to decline, and even dance to the rhythm of music.
  • Subject Tracking: For creators, the device acts as an autonomous cameraman. Using AI-driven spatial awareness, the gimbal physically follows the user during video calls or vlogging, ensuring they remain perfectly framed without a tripod.

HONOR confirmed that the Robot Phone is not just a concept—it is slated for commercial release in the second half of 2026.

Magic V6: The New Benchmark for Foldables

While the Robot Phone looks to the future, the HONOR Magic V6 is the flagship for the here-and-now. HONOR has reclaimed the title for the world’s slimmest foldable, pushing the boundaries of engineering and battery chemistry.

FeatureSpecification
Folded Thickness8.75mm
ProcessorSnapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm)
Battery6,660mAh Silicon-Carbon “Blade” Battery
Main Display7.95-inch 120Hz LTPO OLED (5,000 nits peak)
DurabilityIP68 and IP69 water/dust resistance

The Magic V6’s Silicon-carbon Blade Battery technology is a standout, achieving an energy density of over 900Wh/L. This allows the device to maintain an ultra-thin profile while offering significantly higher capacity than its competitors. HONOR even demonstrated the battery’s resilience and thinness by having a world-record card thrower toss the battery through the air like a playing card.

Expanding the Horizon: Humanoid Robotics

In a surprise move, HONOR debuted its first Humanoid Robot. This prototype represents the company’s “Alpha Lab” pillar, aimed at bringing AI assistance into physical spaces.

The robot is designed for “Supportive Companionship” and customer service roles. HONOR leverages its “Personal Intelligence” data—the deep understanding of user habits gathered from smartphones—to make the robot more intuitive than generic industrial droids. While technical specs remain under wraps, the robot performed remote-controlled gestures on stage, signaling HONOR’s intent to compete in the burgeoning consumer robotics market.

A Vision of “Human-Centric” AI

Underpinning all these releases is the AHI (Augmented Human Intelligence) concept. HONOR argues that AI should not just process data (IQ) but also understand emotions (EQ).

“With Human-centric as our lighthouse, we navigate the growth of AI through the two beams of IQ and EQ,” said James Li, CEO of HONOR. “We are building the new paradigm of a silicon-carbon civilization.”

By integrating its software ecosystem with Apple Connectivity and professional cinema tools from partner ARRI, HONOR is positioning itself as a bridge between high-end professional equipment and everyday consumer convenience.
