November 14, 2025: The expansion of the Netflix gaming catalog is being continued with a major announcement: the critically acclaimed western, Red Dead Redemption, is being brought to the platform. It has been confirmed by Rockstar Games that the 2010 classic, alongside its zombie-horror companion, Undead Nightmare, will be made available to Netflix subscribers on December 2.
This move marks a significant step in the streamer’s efforts to grow its presence in the video game space. The game will be offered to users with an active Netflix membership as a mobile title, without the need for additional purchase, in-app transactions, or advertisements. This marks the first time that this beloved title will be playable natively on both iOS and Android devices, ensuring that the entire Red Dead experience can be accessed by a much wider audience.
The game will be released across several platforms, including the PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and Nintendo Switch 2. For those playing on mobile devices through the Netflix app, a version optimized with mobile-friendly controls will be provided.
The following enhancements are being included in the new releases:
Free digital upgrades are also being offered to users who already own the title on PS4, Nintendo Switch, or the backward-compatible Xbox One version. Furthermore, save data from the previous generation can be carried over, allowing players to continue their journey as John Marston.
The game follows the journey of former outlaw John Marston, who is forced by federal agents to hunt down the criminals he once called friends. The full single-player experience of Red Dead Redemption and the entire Undead Nightmare expansion are being included in these new versions. The game’s addition to Netflix’s growing portfolio is further proof that premium titles are being actively sought out to offer more value to subscribers.
