The highly anticipated sequel to the blockbuster “Akhanda,” titled “Akhanda 2: Thaandavam,” has set the cinematic world abuzz with a significant casting announcement. Harshali Malhotra, the child artist who stole millions of hearts as the mute “Munni” in Salman Khan’s 2015 Bollywood hit “Bajrangi Bhaijaan,” is all set to make her grand Telugu debut in this action-packed spectacle.
Production house 14 Reels Plus officially confirmed Malhotra’s involvement, introducing her character as “Janani.” The announcement, accompanied by a captivating first-look poster of Harshali in a traditional attire, has sparked immense excitement among fans eagerly awaiting her return to the silver screen. At 17 years old, this marks a pivotal moment in her evolving career, transitioning from a beloved child artist to a young actress ready to explore new dimensions.
Harshali herself took to social media to express her emotions regarding this new chapter. “Akhanda 2: Thaandavam” brings back the formidable combination of superstar Nandamuri Balakrishna in the lead role and director Boyapati Sreenu, who helmed the highly successful first installment.
