India Kawasaki Motors (IKM) has officially launched the latest iteration of its smallest adventure-tourer, the 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300, in the Indian market. The updated model enters the fiercely competitive entry-level ADV segment with a fresh aesthetic appeal, while notably retaining its highly attractive ex-showroom price.
The 2025 Versys-X 300, which continues to be Kawasaki’s most accessible twin-cylinder adventure machine, is priced at ₹3.49 lakh (ex-showroom). This strategic decision to keep the price point unchanged makes the package more appealing, especially for riders looking for a refined, multi-cylinder touring experience without the added cost of a full overhaul.
The most significant, and virtually only, update for the 2025 model year is purely cosmetic. The Versys-X 300 now sports a striking new colour option: Candy Lime Green and Metallic Flat Spark Black.
This dual-tone livery replaces one of the older shades and adds a sharper, more contemporary look to the adventure machine, aligning it more closely with Kawasaki’s sporty DNA. This new paint scheme will be sold alongside the existing Metallic Ocean Blue and Pearl Robotic White option, giving customers a choice between a rugged or a vibrant aesthetic. Beyond this visual tweak, the lightweight adventure-tourer remains mechanically and structurally identical to the outgoing model.
The unchanging nature of the motorcycle’s hardware is a testament to its proven capability as a dependable, smooth, long-distance runner.
The decision to limit the update to a new colour and graphics package, while keeping the price stable, suggests Kawasaki is banking on the Versys-X 300’s core strengths: its refined twin-cylinder engine and comfortable, touring-focused ergonomics.
In an Indian market now populated by more feature-rich, though mostly single-cylinder, rivals like the KTM 390 Adventure and Royal Enfield Himalayan 450, the Versys-X 300 maintains its unique position as the most affordable twin-cylinder adventure tourer. While it lacks modern features like TFT displays, traction control, or ride modes, its simple, analog-leaning, and mechanically sound approach appeals to a niche of riders who prioritise the legendary Japanese reliability and the distinctive smooth character of a twin-cylinder motor for long-haul touring.
Deliveries for the 2025 Kawasaki Versys-X 300 are slated to begin shortly across all authorised dealerships.
