In a major development poised to shake up the premium motorcycle market, TVS Motor Company has announced a substantial price reduction for its flagship Apache RR 310. The move comes as a direct result of the recent GST Council decision to revise the tax structure on premium two-wheelers, a policy change that is now being passed on to consumers. With savings of up to Rs. 26,909, the high-performance sportbike is now more accessible to a wider range of enthusiasts across India.
This price revision, effective from September 22, 2025, aligns with the new two-tier Goods and Services Tax framework. The tax rate on premium motorcycles has been reduced from 28% to 18%, allowing TVS to lower ex-showroom prices and offer a significant financial benefit to prospective buyers. The price cut is not limited to the Apache RR 310; other models in the Apache series, including the popular Apache RTR 310, also benefit from the revised tax structure.
The price cut is reflected across all variants of the Apache RR 310, making the entire lineup more attractive. The base non-BTO (Built-To-Order) model in Racing Red, for instance, now starts at an ex-showroom price of Rs. 2,56,240, which translates to a saving of over Rs. 21,700 for the customer.
For those who opt for the more feature-rich variants, the savings are even more substantial. The top-of-the-line Dynamic + Dynamic Pro Kit Race Replica variant, which includes a host of electronic aids and customizable features, now has an ex-showroom price of Rs. 3,17,090, offering the maximum GST-related saving of Rs. 26,909. Even the exclusive Anniversary Edition in Glossy Black & Gold is now available at a more enticing price of Rs. 3,10,640.
The decision by TVS to immediately pass on the full GST benefits is a strategic one, strengthening the brand’s position in the fiercely competitive premium motorcycle segment. This move not only makes the Apache RR 310 more affordable but also intensifies the rivalry with key competitors like the BMW G 310 RR and the KTM RC 390.
The price reduction is a welcome relief for aspiring riders who have been eyeing a high-performance machine but were deterred by the cost. It effectively bridges the gap between the mid-range and premium segments, making the dream of owning a technologically advanced and race-bred motorcycle a reality for many.
The Apache RR 310 has long been celebrated for its reverse-inclined DOHC engine, which delivers a peak power of 38 PS and a top speed of 160 kmph. It features a host of advanced technologies, including ride modes (Track, Sport, Urban, Rain), a bi-directional quickshifter, and the BTO platform for further customization. With the new, more accessible pricing, TVS is poised to attract a new wave of customers, solidifying its commitment to providing exceptional value and performance in the Indian two-wheeler market.
