The recruitment drive is aimed at hiring Post Graduate Teachers (PGT), Trained Graduate Teachers (TGT), and Primary Teachers (PRT) on a fixed-term contract basis.
With the application deadline having recently passed on February 2, 2026, all eyes are now on the interview rounds scheduled to take place this month.

The current recruitment cycle focuses on filling anticipatory vacancies in the following institutions under Cluster-05:
- APS Danapur Cantt (Patna)
- APS Gaya

Eligibility Criteria at a Glance
To maintain high educational standards, the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES) has set strict eligibility parameters:
- Educational Qualification: * PGT: Post-graduation in the concerned subject with at least 50% marks and a B.Ed.
- TGT: Graduation with 50% marks in the relevant subject and a B.Ed. CTET/TET is mandatory for TGT and PRT roles.
- PRT: Graduation with 50% marks and a 2-year D.El.Ed. or B.El.Ed.
- OST Score Card: Candidates possessing the AWES Online Screening Test (OST) score card with a minimum of 65% are preferred. However, non-OST candidates can still be appointed, provided they clear the exam within two years of joining.
- Age Limit: Fresh candidates must be below 40 years of age as of April 1, 2026. Experienced candidates (with at least 5 years of experience in the last 10 years) have an upper age limit of 55 years.
Selection Process
Unlike many government teaching roles, this recruitment relies heavily on a multi-stage local selection process:
