Eligibility Criteria

Nationality: Must be a citizen of India, Nepal, or a person of Indian origin who has migrated with the intention of permanently settling in India (subject to eligibility certificates).
Age Limit (as on October 1, 2026):
Standard Entry: 20 to 27 years (Born between Oct 2, 1999, and Oct 1, 2006, both dates inclusive).
Widows of Defence Personnel: Up to 35 years.
Educational Qualification:
Candidates must have passed or be in the final year of a B.E./B.Tech degree in the relevant engineering stream.
Final-year students must complete all exams and produce proof of passing by October 1, 2026.
Selection Process: No Written Exam
One of the most attractive features of the SSC Tech entry is the absence of a written test. The selection is strictly merit-based:
Shortlisting: Candidates are shortlisted based on their cumulative percentage of marks up to the 6th semester (or 8th for graduates).
SSB Interview: Shortlisted candidates will undergo a 5-day Service Selection Board (SSB) interview (Stage I & II).
Medical Examination: Recommended candidates will undergo a thorough medical check-up.
