The Staff Selection Commission (SSC) has officially announced the results for the Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Physical Standard Test (PST) conducted as part of the SSC GD (General Duty) Constable Examination 2025. This declaration marks a significant step in the massive recruitment drive to fill thousands of vacancies across various Central Armed Police Forces (CAPFs) and allied organizations.
According to the official notification released by the Commission, a total of 1,26,736 candidates have successfully cleared the physically demanding PET/PST stage. These qualified candidates are now provisionally shortlisted to appear for the next crucial phase of the recruitment process: the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV).
The SSC GD Constable 2025 recruitment aims to fill a total of 53,690 vacancies for Constable (GD) posts in forces like the Border Security Force (BSF), Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF), Sashastra Seema Bal (SSB), Indo-Tibetan Border Police (ITBP), Assam Rifles (AR), Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB), and Secretariat Security Force (SSF).
The PET/PST round, which was conducted from August 20 to September 15, 2025, saw a massive turnout of candidates who had cleared the initial Computer-Based Examination (CBE) held earlier this year (February 4 to February 25, 2025).
The Commission also noted that the results of certain candidates have been temporarily withheld due to various administrative reasons, and a small number of female candidates have been marked as temporarily medically unfit.
Along with the result, the SSC has published the category-wise and state-wise cut-off marks. These cut-offs, which were applied to the marks secured by candidates in the Computer-Based Examination, determine the minimum score required to qualify for the PET/PST and subsequent medical rounds.
The cut-off marks for all-India vacancies in the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) and Secretariat Security Force (SSF) are provided separately and generally reflect a higher competitive level due to the pan-India nature of the selection for these posts. Aspirants should check the detailed official PDF to see the cut-offs relevant to their respective state, area (General/Border/Naxal/Militancy Affected), and category.
Candidates whose Roll Numbers appear in the published merit lists have successfully navigated the first two major hurdles (CBE and PET/PST) and are now eligible for the final two stages: the Detailed Medical Examination (DME) and Document Verification (DV).
The nodal Central Armed Police Force (CAPF), which is typically the CRPF, will soon release the exact schedule and admit cards for the DME/DV. It is highly advised that all shortlisted candidates regularly visit the official websites of SSC (ssc.gov.in) and the nodal CAPF (likely rect.crpf.gov.in) for timely updates.
The DME is a critical stage where candidates undergo a thorough medical check-up to ensure they meet the rigorous physical standards required for duty in the CAPFs. Document Verification, conducted simultaneously, requires candidates to present all original educational, domicile, and category certificates as proof of their eligibility.
The final merit list of selected candidates will be prepared after the completion of the DME/DV, taking into account the performance in the CBE and the final outcome of the medical and verification rounds.
Candidates can check their qualifying status by following the steps outlined below:
The successful completion of the PET/PST brings the over 1.2 lakh qualified candidates one step closer to securing a position as a General Duty Constable, a prestigious and challenging role in the nation’s security forces.
