The Ajay Devgn starrer, Raid 2, continues its strong performance at the box office, having now crossed the coveted ₹125 crore mark in India on its twelfth day. Despite a minor dip in collections on its second Monday, the film has shown remarkable staying power, aided by the partial holiday for Buddha Purnima.
According to early estimates, Raid 2 raked in approximately ₹4.85 – ₹5 crore net on its second Monday across all languages. This brings the film’s total India net collection to an impressive ₹125.60 – ₹129.39 crore within just twelve days of its release on May 1st, 2025.
The movie, a sequel to the successful 2018 film Raid, starring Ajay Devgn as the relentless IRS officer Amay Patnaik, has been steadily attracting audiences. After a strong opening week that saw a collection of ₹95.75 – ₹98.89 crore, Raid 2 continued its momentum into the second weekend, earning ₹25.62 crore.
While there was an expected drop on the second Monday compared to the weekend figures, the hold was considered steady, especially with the benefit of the Buddha Purnima holiday in some regions. The film’s second Monday collection only saw a minor fall compared to its second Friday earnings of around ₹5 crore, indicating continued audience interest.
The worldwide gross collection for Raid 2 has also been impressive, reaching approximately ₹169 – ₹174.68 crore. The overseas market has contributed significantly, with a gross collection of around ₹19 – ₹22 crore. This performance has propelled Raid 2 to become one of the highest-grossing Bollywood films of 2025 so far, surpassing the lifetime collection of Akshay Kumar’s Sky Force in worldwide gross earnings.
Directed by Raj Kumar Gupta and also starring Riteish Deshmukh as the antagonist and Vaani Kapoor in a supporting role, Raid 2 continues the narrative of Amay Patnaik as he tackles corruption. The film has received mixed reviews from critics, with some praising Ajay Devgn’s performance and the film’s gripping tension, while others noted a slower pace in the first half and a sense of familiarity with the original. However, audience reception seems to be largely positive, contributing to its strong box office run.
With no major Bollywood releases scheduled in the near future, Raid 2 is expected to continue its steady performance and is likely to cross the ₹150 crore net mark in India in the coming days. This success further cements Ajay Devgn’s position as a bankable star and adds another feather to his cap, making Raid 2 one of his highest-grossing films.
