Directed by Anurag Singh, Border 2 serves as a spiritual successor to J.P. Dutta’s 1997 classic. While the original film focused primarily on the Battle of Longewala, the sequel broadens its horizons to depict the 1971 Indo-Pakistani War across the Army, Navy, and Air Force.

The narrative centers on Operation Chengiz Khan and follows a multi-front combat strategy:
