The video, showing the reality TV personality using what is reported to be a ‘potash gun’ or ‘carbide gun,’ has led to a demand for a First Information Report (FIR) against her. The complaint was lodged by a resident of Gwalior, where the use of this particular type of explosive device has recently been prohibited by local authorities.

The District Ban and Public Safety

The action against the contestant was initiated following an administrative ban imposed on the manufacturing, sale, and use of potash guns in the Gwalior district. This ban had been recently enforced due to concerns regarding public safety, as a significant number of severe eye injuries had been reported in the state from the use of such devices, particularly around the time of the Diwali festival. The complaint specifically cited the directives of the state’s Chief Minister and the Gwalior Collector’s order in demanding the legal action against the influencer.

It has been confirmed by the Assistant Superintendent of Police (ASP) that the matter is being taken seriously. Instructions have been given to the cyber team for an immediate and thorough investigation into the complaint. The purpose of the inquiry is to ascertain the video’s authenticity, its time of creation, and whether its content constitutes a violation of the district’s recent ban on the hazardous device.

However, it has been suggested in some reports that the circulating video may be as much as two years old. This timeline is a point of contention, as the official ban on the potash gun was announced only a few days before the recent Diwali festival, which could impact the legal standing of the complaint. No official statement has yet been released by Tanya Mittal’s representatives regarding the video or the ensuing legal trouble, as she remains confined inside the Bigg Boss house.
