New Delhi, December 17, 2025: The Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar has morphed from a highly anticipated spy thriller into a certified box office juggernaut. On its 12th day (Tuesday), the film pulled off a “manic” performance that has left trade analysts stunned, officially crossing the ₹639 crore mark at the worldwide box office.

By reaching this milestone, Dhurandhar has not only shattered personal records for Ranveer Singh but has also overtaken the lifetime collections of Salman Khan’s Sultan and the Thalapathy Vijay-starrer Leo.

A Record-Breaking “Manic” Tuesday

While most films experience a significant mid-week slump, Dhurandhar showcased an extraordinary hold on Day 12. The film collected approximately ₹30 crore net in India on Tuesday, matching its Monday figures with zero dip.

This brings its India net collection to ₹411.25 crore, making it only the seventh Hindi film in history to enter the prestigious ₹400-crore club. What is even more impressive is the speed: Aditya Dhar’s directorial reached this summit in just 12 days, surpassing the domestic lifetime earnings of blockbusters like Dangal and Salaar.

Dethroning the Giants

The “Dhurandhar mania” is effectively rewriting the record books. By minting ₹639 crore worldwide, the film has officially “dethroned” several major titles:

  • Sultan: Salman Khan’s 2016 wrestling drama previously held a dominant spot in the all-time charts.
  • Pushpa 2: In terms of second-week momentum, Dhurandhar has outpaced the Hindi version of the Allu Arjun sequel, which collected ₹196 crore in its second week compared to Dhurandhar’s estimated ₹204 crore.
  • Dangal: Domestically, it has cruised past Aamir Khan’s long-standing record of ₹387 crore.

Why is ‘Dhurandhar’ Unstoppable?

The film’s success is being attributed to a “perfect storm” of high-octane action and a gripping geopolitical narrative. Ranveer Singh’s portrayal of Hamza, an undercover Indian agent in Pakistan’s Lyari underworld, has received widespread acclaim.

Furthermore, the supporting cast—including Akshaye Khanna, Sanjay Dutt, and R. Madhavan—has added immense weight to the film’s appeal. Unlike typical actioners, Dhurandhar has benefited from strong repeat viewership and a massive surge in overseas markets, particularly in North America, where it recently overtook the collections of Baahubali 2.

The Road Ahead

With the film expected to cross the ₹500 crore gross mark in India by Wednesday, all eyes are now on the ₹700 crore worldwide milestone. As it stands, Dhurandhar is on track to become one of the top five highest-grossing Indian films of 2025.

For fans of the franchise, the momentum is only building: a sequel is already slated for release on March 19, 2026, promising to conclude the high-stakes story of Hamza vs. the Karachi underworld.
