New Delhi, December 19, 2025: Bollywood superstar Madhuri Dixit Nene and her husband, Dr. Shriram Nene, have recently made headlines in the Mumbai real estate circuit. The couple successfully offloaded their compact luxury apartment in the premium Juhu locality for Rs 3.9 crore, nearly doubling their investment over a 13-year period.

The transaction, registered on December 15, 2025, underscores the enduring appeal of Juhu—a coastal neighborhood synonymous with celebrity homes and high-value real estate.

The Details of the Deal

The property is located on the fourth floor of Iris Park, within the Deep Varsha Co-operative Housing Society on Military Road. Spanning a carpet area of approximately 780.13 square feet, the flat represents a classic piece of “compact luxury” in one of India’s most expensive PIN codes.

The buyer has been identified as Mrs. Darshana Ghatlia. In a savvy financial move, the buyer availed a 1% stamp duty concession, a benefit offered by the Maharashtra government to encourage women-led property ownership. This brought the stamp duty payment to roughly Rs 19.5 lakh.

A Masterclass in Appreciation

Financial records reveal that the Nenes originally purchased the apartment in June 2012 for Rs 1.96 crore. Selling it now for Rs 3.9 crore represents a capital appreciation of nearly 100%.

Experts suggest that such significant gains are a result of Juhu’s unique market dynamics:

Beyond Juhu: A Growing Portfolio

This sale is part of a broader restructuring of the actress’s real estate assets. While she has exited this Juhu investment, her portfolio remains formidable:

  • Worli Luxury: In 2022, she purchased a massive 5,384 sq. ft. apartment on the 53rd floor of Indiabulls Blu in Worli for Rs 48 crore.
  • Commercial Rentals: Recently, she leased out a 1,594 sq. ft. office space in Andheri West for a monthly rent of Rs 3 lakh, ensuring a steady stream of passive income.

As Madhuri continues her successful run in the digital space and television, her real estate moves reflect a balanced strategy of high-value residential living and smart, profit-oriented divestment.
