Bollywood actress Preity Zinta has issued a stern warning to anyone attempting to photograph her twins, Jai and Gia, without her explicit consent. In a recent “Ask Me Anything” session on social media platform X (formerly Twitter), the “Veer-Zaara” star made it unequivocally clear that breaching this boundary would invoke her fierce “Kali avatar.”

Drawing a powerful analogy to the Hindu goddess Kali, who symbolizes strength and fierce protection, Zinta emphasized the gravity of violating her children’s privacy. When a fan inquired about a little-known fact about her, the actress responded candidly, expressing her dislike for being photographed in temples, early mornings post-flights, bathrooms, and during security checks. However, it was her stance on her children’s privacy that resonated most strongly.

“Taking my kids’ pictures will bring out my Kali avatar, otherwise I’m a happy person,” Zinta stated firmly. She further urged paparazzi and fans to respect her boundaries, adding, “Don’t start making videos without my permission – it’s actually very irritating – just ask me politely & please leave my kids alone.

Zinta and her husband, Gene Goodenough, have consciously chosen to shield their twins from the constant glare of public attention, a decision shared by several other prominent celebrity parents, including Anushka Sharma-Virat Kohli and Deepika Padukone-Ranveer Singh. While Zinta occasionally shares glimpses of her family on social media, she is careful to obscure her children’s faces, prioritizing their right to a private and normal childhood away from the pressures of the limelight.

The actress, who welcomed her twins via surrogacy in November 2021, has previously spoken about the importance of allowing her children to grow up without the constant scrutiny of public life, enabling them to make their own choices regarding media exposure when they are older.

During the interactive session with her fans, Zinta also clarified that her strong stance was not directed at anyone specific and that she possesses the maturity to handle various types of comments. She concluded the chat on a light note, thanking her fans for their engaging questions.

Preity Zinta’s assertive statement underscores the growing concern among celebrity parents regarding the privacy of their children in an era of ubiquitous cameras and social media. Her invocation of the “Kali avatar” serves as a potent reminder of the fierce protectiveness she feels towards her twins and her unwavering commitment to safeguarding their childhood.
