New Delhi, December 24, 2025: The Roshan household is currently celebrating a joyous occasion with the wedding of Eshaan Roshan—son of music composer Rajesh Roshan and nephew of filmmaker Rakesh Roshan. However, the festivities took an unexpected turn when a video surfaced online showing a heated exchange between the veteran filmmaker and a group of eunuchs (transgenders) at the venue.
The incident has quickly become the talk of social media, with netizens weighing in on the “shagun” culture and the pressures of high-profile celebrity weddings.
The wedding of Eshaan Roshan and actress-model Aishwarya Singh was held in Mumbai on December 23, 2025. It was a star-studded affair attended by Hrithik Roshan, his sons Hrehaan and Hridhaan, Saba Azad, and even Hrithik’s ex-wife, Sussanne Khan.
While the “baraat” was in full swing, a group of eunuchs arrived at the entrance—a common tradition in Indian weddings where they offer blessings to the newlyweds in exchange for money (shagun). According to viral clips and eyewitness reports, a disagreement broke out regarding the amount of money being demanded.
Rakesh Roshan was seen visibly frustrated, engaging in a stern conversation with the group. The veteran filmmaker appeared to be gesturing for them to clear the path, while the group remained persistent in their demands. The situation briefly disrupted the flow of the wedding procession before security and family members stepped in to manage the crowd.
As soon as the video hit platforms like Instagram and Reddit, the comment sections exploded with speculation. Given the Roshan family’s stature, many users assumed the group had asked for an exorbitant amount of money.
While some criticized the filmmaker for losing his cool, a large section of the internet seemed to empathize with the family, arguing that even celebrities deserve a hassle-free celebration.
Despite the brief controversy, the wedding was a beautiful event. The highlight for many fans was seeing Hrithik Roshan and his sons, Hrehaan and Hridhaan, dancing in perfect sync to the hit track “Ishq Tera Tadpave.” The bride, Aishwarya Singh, looked stunning in traditional attire, and the family photos shared by Rakesh Roshan earlier in the day showed a house full of love and unity. Eshaan, who is a producer and assistant director, has been receiving a flood of wishes from the film industry.
Celebrity weddings in India are rarely without a bit of drama, whether it’s paparazzi scuffles or tradition-related disputes. While the argument with the eunuchs provided a moment of friction, it hasn’t stopped the Roshan family from welcoming their new “bahu” with open arms.
