Weekend Watchlist: New Releases on OTT Platforms

New Delhi, September 19, 2025: Weekend with a mix of highly anticipated seasons, theatrical releases, and original series now being offered across various Over-the-Top (OTT) platforms.

The highly-anticipated The Trial Season 2 is now available for streaming on JioHotstar. In this new season, Kajol returns as lawyer Noyonika Sengupta, who is faced with more complex cases and personal struggles. The series promises to delve deeper into themes of justice, power, and second chances. Its return has been met with significant buzz, with the first season having been well-received by audiences.

Another notable release is Article 370, the Yami Gautam-starrer that was a box-office success. The political action thriller, which previously had its digital debut on Netflix, can now also be streamed on ZEE5. This film, which chronicles the events leading up to the abrogation of Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir, has been praised for its dramatic retelling of a sensitive subject.

The Tamil crime thriller Indra, which was well-received during its theatrical run, has made its online debut on SunNXT. Another show, the directorial debut of Aryan Khan, titled The Bastards of Bollywood, has also been released on Netflix and has opened to positive reviews.
