New Delhi, February 6, 2026: In a chilling incident that has sparked widespread outrage across the National Capital Region (NCR), five minor boys were allegedly abducted, stripped, and subjected to horrific torture at an under-construction building in Gurugram’s DLF Phase 3.
The ordeal, which lasted over 18 hours, only ended after the children’s mothers tracked them down and spent hours pleading with the captors for their release.
The incident began on Monday morning, when the boys—aged between 11 and 14—entered an under-construction building that was being developed into a Paying Guest (PG) accommodation. The suspects, including the site contractor and his workers, caught the children and accused them of attempting to steal construction materials like iron rebars.
According to the First Information Report (FIR), the children were dragged into a room where they were:
The horror came to light after the mother of a 12-year-old victim realized her son had not returned by 6:00 PM on Monday. After meeting two other women whose sons were also missing, they began a frantic search.
They eventually located the children at the U-Block building. The suspects reportedly forced the mothers to sit with their terrified children, hurling abuses at them for several hours. It was only after the women begged for mercy for nearly five hours that the boys were finally released late Monday night.
Gurugram Police have acted swiftly following the formal complaint lodged at the Nathupur police post on Tuesday.
The victims underwent medical examinations on Wednesday. While none of the children required hospitalization for their physical injuries, the District Child Welfare Committee (CWC) has stepped in to provide professional counseling to help the boys cope with the severe psychological trauma.
Police spokesperson Sandeep Turan stated that while the suspects claimed the children were there to steal, “nothing concrete surfaced to support these allegations.”
